  1. Nice looking body work. Are you going to change the door opening lines? The vent window post removal would change the shape of the side window. Are you going to lengthen the hood to offset the windshield set back?
  2. Google is your friend. Search "1959 Pontiac" and look at the options that pop up. One option is Imagis, and this will give many pictures of real cars. They will offer to show you interior trim as well as body colors. Great way to do some research if you're going for a stock build of a particular body style or trim level.
  3. Great looking Surf Wagon. Lots of added details inside and out. Like the stance, wheels and tires.
  4. Great looking paint and body trim. Like the detailing for the interior and the body markings.

    My 2023

Like the many different build subjects and the way they are finished.
  7. Look forward to seeing you put your finishes on this.
  8. Amazing condition for being in Hawaii that long. One thing I noticed on my few visits to these beautiful Islands is that local cars living near the ocean rust pretty quickly.
  9. I'm in favor of many of the safety advancements on many of the new cars and trucks. The biggest problem is that the drivers have not seemed to advance at the same rate as the equipment that seems to be trying to compensate for the drivers of today. Put down the phone, you're really just not that important, are you? Many drivers are trying to "multitask" when their main focuses should be operating a vehicle, not having lunch or talking to everyone else in the car or doing any number of other tasks. Should these other things be that important, pull off the road and take care of them and then return to the job at hand when you can concentrate on driving.
  10. Just an observation on my part on colors. I agree that most of the new car and truck manufactures offer some great looking colors, but I think the problem is the dealers are not ordering them for inventory. We toke a drive to northern Texas for New Years to visit some family. Hours and hours of staring out the windshield it downed on me that except for a very few exceptions everything, be it a truck regardless of size and cars as well were either a shade of white, silver or black. Most people buying a new car or truck are forced to buy whatever a dealer is stocking. The dealer seems to order primarily these three colors and shades of them. I recall on morning looking out the window of our hotel that was on a street where you could see a Chevrolet store and a Ford store. You could count on one hand the number of cars in inventory that were of a different color. I started looking at dealerships from the highway the rest of the way down and when we returned. They all stocked the same colors and again very few other options.

    Baja Buggy

This is a close representation of a '67 Type 1 made into a Baja style I owned in the seventies. The base kit is the Revell '68 Type 1, an excellent kit. I used parts from Texas 3D Customs on the body. These are also excellent parts. The parts from Texas 3D are the front hood and nose with headlights, and the rear engine cover also. Modified the kits fenders, the rears are reshaped to represent the way they were on my Baja. Tamiya TS-26 Pure White for the body. The interior uses various shades of flat and semi-gloss Black for the vinyl seats and door panels. The engine was modified with a homemade intake manifold to represent the Holly "Bug Spray" set up of the day along with a K&N Air Filter. Wired the kits distributor and made the exhaust from some black wire. The Buggy Bars on the front and rear are made of Plastruct #90861 3.2 mm plastic tubing. The windows are tinted with Tamiya TS-71 Smoke. This vehicle roamed the sand dunes at Pismo Beach Ca. on many weekends and the 10x15 rear flotation tires never let me down in the soft sand parts.
  12. Great looking weathering on the finish.
  13. Don't know if you watch Motor Trend TV and the Shorty"s Body Shop show specifically, but last night, Sunday< he had a customer that wanted a Monte Carlo done just like this. You can usually find it on You Tube if not on Hot Rod TV. Just thought you might want to know.
  14. Great looking Cadillac and the color suites it well. The proportions look good as does the trim.
  15. Got some serious exhaust pipes.
  16. High today is supposed to be -1 around 4 pm. I see no reason to venture forth today.
  17. Great looking builds. This kit seems more toy based than replica.
  18. Beautiful looking finishes and all the additional detailing really adds to the appearance.
  19. Beautiful looking paint colors and trim. Remember more than a few with this color combination back when. Great interior trim and like how you added the spark plugs on the engine.
  20. I agree with Phil, at first glance your little '32 looks like Gary's old car but with better paint. This has a look that will never go out of style. Great clean looking build.
  21. Great looking Monte, these don't seem to get much love. I recall the movie, and this looks just like the car Denzel drove.
  22. Very realistic looking finishes.
  23. Suggest anyone interested in getting additional information on the 2025 Charger they should poke around on You Tube. Looked at several self-appointed experts claiming to have all the inside information. The point that they seemed to put forward was the Turbo Charged Huracan 6 cylinder will be available with either a 400 hp or a 500 hp version. I'm still wait and see but interested all the same.
  24. Beautiful looking paint colors and trim finish. Like your powertrain choice. You mention mistakes, can't see any myself.
  25. Great looking body work. The paint colors and finishes look nice and smooth. Nice interior color and finish. Got to have the Cragar wheels.
