    69 Barracuda

The gold color and smooth finish show the body lines well. Nice low stans.
  3. Great looking Vinyard Flatbed. Like the flat bed and side boards.
  4. Not 100 % sure about 1956, but Chevrolet did offer some in 1955 that usually were used by the phone company and others. A friend of mine bought a used on in the mid '60's off a used car lot that would buy them up, paint them in some nice metallic colors and sold them to the public. As for removing the trim from the spruce a good pair of spruce cutters should work.
  5. Beautiful looking paint work, especially the BMW. I'm partial to the Firebird.
  6. Obviously, the Judges knew what they were looking at with these builds.
  7. Great interior detailing. The body color and finish are also great.
  8. Like your new years project. Should you be trying to replicate the chopped roof in the drawing a chopped top may be in this kit or one of the later versions. The chopped top that AMT put in the kits was to represent something you might see at the Bonneville Salt Flats. The drawing is something that would be a better source for a street car. I think if you didn't remove as much from the roof pillars and used the optional chopped top you could replicate what is in the drawing.
  9. I can see why you won the Gold. Beautiful looking paint finishes and colors. Great looking trailer.
  10. Great looking GTO. The paint finish and interior look great together. Building a model of past owned cars is always a treat and a few flashbacks along the way.
  11. Beautiful looking color and finish. Your struggles were all worth it looking at the finished build.
  12. Your conversion looks factory correct. The engine looks like it belongs there. The interior and all the other surfaces look great.
  13. Looks like most of the hard work has been done for the body conversion, only you know if it should be completed or left as is as a tribute to your friend. You mention the rear window in your description. I recently built the reissued AMT '59 Chevy C-10 and converted it to the optional larger rear window. The body relief molding on the back of the cab matches the shape of the optional window and after cutting out that area you would have an opening that would match the factory optional window treatment if that became the way you want to build it.
  14. I like the theme of your builds here. Having owned a '57 210 Hardtop long long ago the exterior trim differences are fairly easy to change on the model you are using. The trunk emblem for a six-cylinder car can be found in the Revell '55 Chevy hardtop, the most recent issue and not the earlier gasser style kit. Painting the side panels where Bel Airs had the trim to match the color used on the roof. The chrome trim that extends from the rear taillights along the top of the rear fenders can be shortened. Your changes to the hood trim looks just like the originals. Like your interior changes.
  15. Please send me any additional information on the 1968 Bel Air two door.
  16. Beautiful looking paint finish and color. The interior looks great with the body color.
  17. Beautiful looking paint work. Like the different build subjects and how they are all finished.
  18. Great looking paint finishes and colors. Interesting subjects.
  19. Beautiful looking paint finishes and clean body details.
  20. Like all the different style of your builds. They all have great looking paint and detailing.
  21. Great looking paint and trim finishes. Like the variety of subjects.
  22. Great looking paint finish and interior detailing.
  23. Like the bold color and great looking finish. Realistic looking engine detailing.
  24. Built on of these when they were first released. I removed the trunk handle and sort of shaved the trim off the trunk. These were done in a good grade of black plastic. I used some automotive rubbing compound on the areas that I had sanded. When finished the work I had done could not be seen. Consider polishing the body and then decide if you want to paint it.
  25. An old favorite kit and still has good detail considering its age. Some nice Flat Head speed parts if that engine is a consideration.
