  1. Beautiful looking paint color and finish, like the dark deep look. Contrasting interior color goes well and its finish looks great.
  2. I have in the past. The problem is that many bumpers and such have mold lines left on the finish and these really need to be refinished before chroming.
  3. Do you know if it is the 425 HP or the 385Hp engine? That is the original shifter, and the seats even look like OEM.
  4. Great looking build. They should use a picture of your model for the box art.

Beautiful looking color and finish. Great example of how good a basic out of box kit can look with attention to all the details.
  6. Beautiful looking paint finish and the contrast with the red interior looks really clean.
  7. These cars were really ahead of their time when built. Very advanced in so many ways. Like the copper colored one.
  8. Jaguars have always been beautiful looking cars and with the Chevrolet drivetrain and finished to this standard this would be a must have car.
  9. KWT's suggestion of the Collonade Chevelle and El Camino would be great to have. About the little Cavalier Z-24 pictured. I personally would love to have one to build for my wife. We bought her a new one when she graduated from college, and we put over 100k on it with zero problems. With the 5-speed that little car was pretty fast for its time. The real question is would a model company be able to make a profit after paying for the development of a kit. The S-10 & S-15 Chevrolet/GMC trucks could be reissued with just a light polish over the models I would think. With the resent interest in building pickups I would think that would be a viable idea.
  10. Like the '49 Merc woody and would buy some if rereleased and they wouldn't have to change a thing. As Mr. Metallic mentioned about changes to existing tooling and reissue with a different body. The '50 Olds would also be a perfect example of a kit that could be offered as either a two-door hardtop or even a woody. I think either or both would make viable business case for Revelle.
  11. Beautiful looking paint color and finish. Cleanly done bed wood and engine detailing. Like the stance, the wide whites, and the Fiestas.
  12. The question is: how many sheets of bare-metal foil did it take to chrome your Honda?
  13. Excellent looking body work. The body lines have smooth transitions, and the color and finish look great. Like the Bongo Drums.
  14. Like the interior. As for the metal foil residue, I have used Tamiya 20A Thinner on a Q-Tip with some success. This is one of the reasons I don't use it as a masking tape.
  15. Been there and done that. I have only personally owned one Bug in my whole life, a Baja, and that was the only reason I bought it. I had many friends that were deep into the VW seen and through them I always had an interest.
  16. I have had success with the Garella product line. Even glued the cement legs for a yard bench back together. Sits outside 24/7 for years and still will hold my fat bottom.
  17. But I think it has been in vented. Just as they have drug and bomb smelling dogs, my wife can smell plastic at 50 paces on a dark night.
  18. Thank you for sharing your photos. Congratulations on the well-deserved awards. So many great looking builds and ideas for the future. As for the Military builders, a lot of ideas can be gained by looking at some of their techniques.
  19. Would like to see a wide body option. I'm sure someone in the resin world could come up with fender flares.
  20. Great looking paint and wood trim. Cleanly detailed and like the wide whites and full wheel covers.
  21. A thought on the engine and hood interference. Depending on just how much and where the contact may be consider shortening the hood? Another consideration would be a cooling trick VW guys used to use. Look at old photos where the top edge of the hood just under the rear window would be spaced away from the body to allow additional engine cooling. This may also allow you additional engine clearance without cutting the hood or the engine.
  22. I will also be watching your build. I started one when they first came out and had a bad reaction with the Dupli-Color paint I used. The old Purple Pond is working rather slowly on the paint. Have a 1:1 2021 Charger GT with AWD in the garage for making model shop runs.
  23. Beautiful looking Duce Coupe. Nice modern color and finish. The stance, wheels, and detailed engine.
  24. The one on the left looks like it could be a MoPar Shaker Hood Scoop from a Challenger maybe. The one on the right looks like it may have been an optional hood for a Drag Race version of a kit. The shape reminds me of a mid-sixties Dodge maybe.
  25. You make a very good point on what I also believe to be part of the problem. I'm of the opinion that all drivers should be required to reread the vehicle code for their states before they can renew their license. While I freely admit that as a young man, I may have driven a car as if I had stolen it, with time, experience and maturity that has all changed. One thing I have noticed in a few travels in other states where that seem more inclined to enforce some of the traffic laws on multi lane highways having to do with slower traffic being kept to the right side of the roadway. A couple of times over the resent years we have attended events in Kentucky as well as Arkansas and Michigan. We would pass through other states as part of the trips. Most notable was southern Illinois and Kentucky where the far-left lane was open most of the time and everyone seemed to stay too the right. Highway signs were posted reminding drivers of the requirement of staying to the right unless you were overtaking slower moving traffic. Also, the State Police were visible in the center dived of highways and on ramps. Everyone seemed to give each other room to safely change lanes and to exit or enter the roadway. We were able to cover more miles in less time at a slower steady speed, what a concept. Another pet peeve are people that only use their turn signal after they have turned or changed lanes, if they signal at all. I can see what they have done so they don't have to remind me that they just cut someone off. Wouldn't hurt to look before changing lanes either. I tend to look at the side view mirrors of cars as I get near them. What this does is allows me to see where the drivers are looking or if they are even looking at the traffic around them. Newer cars have the little yellow lights that alert the driver if there is a car or truck in their blind spot on either side. Yet I have seen people just change lanes in front of me even with these lights lit and even I can see them. People need to realize that they are steering a couple of tons of steel at a high speed and very close to other cars when they are talking on the phone, drinking something, eating, looking at themselves in the mirror, or fussing with the radio.
