  1. I agree with everyone else on the paint treatment. The black fenders were the style when this body style was new, and the body has the newer style. The finishes all look great.
  2. Enjoyed watching the creative process on this build. The finish fits well with how this would be used. You might want to get the driver a pillow to sit on.
  3. Great looking color and finish. Like the clean body trim and the interior.
  4. Beautiful looking color and smooth paint finish. Like the engine options used along with the wide white wall tires.
  5. Seems like there are a lot of open slots in the model isle. I think they're trying to clear all of the older stock before they put out any newer product.
  6. First off, I want to be sure I fully understand your situation. Looking at the kits decals and the picture from the instruction sheet it would look as if they don't provide a decal to fully cover the black portion of the hood. I would suggest painting the portion of the small portion of the hood that needs to be black and isn't covered by a decal after the body color is applied. After the paint has dried then apply the kits decals. Then you would clear everything. Now one problem that may or may not be an issue would be if you want a gloss finish on the black areas or a flat or semi-gloss. This is where the masking you mentioned can get very tricky. Just about any masking tape going over a decaled area has a very high probability of lifting the decal when the masking tape is removed. I would just paint the hood, apply the decals and clear everything. Going for a flat or semi-gloss black finish you would mask off everything but the portion of the body you want painted black. How comfortable are you with masking the black pattern would be the big issue.
  7. Great looking finishes.
  8. Beautiful looking Chevelle. The engine looks great and makes this sort of a sleeper. The color and paint finish are nice and smooth and I thin k the vinyl roof looks realistic.
  9. The first picture of the engine in the maroon car, Isn't that a Lincoln V-12?
  10. Beautiful paint finish and I like the color. Engine detailing looks great. Perfect wheels for this body style.
  11. Looks great. Don't recall seeing one built using the pickup option before. Considering that theme this is well done, and all the extras in the bed look good.
  12. Like the frame and suspension design. Great color and semi-gloss finish.
  13. Like the explanation on the paint work and interior. I can see why you named it TETANUS since the driver would need a shot for that after driving. Great looking finishes.
  14. Like the flame paint job and the custom grill. Nicely detailed interior and chassis. This is a great kit and body style.
  15. Beautifully done and the explanation you provided helps if someone isn't aware of the background of the TROG style. The paint finish has a realistic looking aged finish. Like the lowered stance and done the way it may be done on a 1:1.
  16. The ability to switch back to spray paint really shows with the finish on this build. I share some of you raspatory issues and I'm able to get by with just using a Covid style face mask. Like the stance on this.
  17. Great looking paint and color. Like the Viper engine as well.
  18. Great job capturing the look of the real car. Great paint finish and clean trim detailing.
  19. Great looking color and trim combination. Like the way you did the painted trim on the wheels.
  20. Like hearing about your birthday present for turning the big 60. The paint finish on this model is beautifully done. The detailing of all the other components are cleanly done as well.
  21. Great creative design. Like the aggressive looking tires and wheels. All of the added small items also add a lot of interest.
  22. Great color to show the body lines and the finish looks great. Like the added rear deck spoiler.
  23. Great looking build style. The paint color really stands out and the finish looks great. The body styles from that era lend themselves well to this style treatment.
  24. Like the way you blended the features between the different Mustang models. Noticed the rear window straps, sort of what were used in high speed compation cars in the 1:1.

    Custom 65 gto

Interesting body modifications. Do you recall the source of the roof? The slightly longer roof really changes the appearance, almost like a slightly chopped roof.
