  1. Great looking custom. Like the engine detailing and the interior.
  2. Beautiful looking Roadster. Nice clean assembly and paint work even an OOB build can look show worthy.
  3. The kits hinge setup for the tailgate is a little loose and the tailgate sort of flops around when opening and closing. I would use a small section of metal tubing in the body and a corresponding size metal pin in the tailgate for a smooth working hinge.
  4. In the old days this is how you had to clean your car battery before they went with sealed batteries.
  5. The photo of the black phone is what I had.
  6. Thank you for the photos. So many great looking builds and the paint jobs are outstanding. Congratulations to your daughter for her award.
  7. Thank you for sharing all the great looking photos.
  8. The tire sidewalls look more like the 235/55x19's on my '19 Charger GT with the AWD. I'm sure there are plenty of tires in the stash to correct the sidewall height as well as any wheel changes.
  9. So very realistic looking in every way. The longer I look at this the more fine details I find.
  10. Like the way you do the realistic looking finishes on these old work trucks. Great details on the different components on the model.
  11. Like the three different build styles.
  12. The paint color and finish are really eye catching. Like the engine and the stance.
  13. Glad you included the pictures before you painted this so that someone can see all of the body work that went into it. Great looking paint finish and colors. The interior looks great as well.
  14. Great looking finishes and trim.
  15. So realistic looking photos it is hard to tell that it is a model. The finish on every component look real and the engine and suspension are realistically done.
  16. Well deserved award. The paint finish is beautifully done, and the color parting lines look nice and clean.

    Superbird

Like the paint finish and how the Graphite Dust shows through.
  18. Great looking Nova. The decals from the '69 year model Nova look good the way you used them.
  19. Look forward to your build. The body chrome trim is a little vague probably due to the age of the tooling. The front suspension has three settings and the lowest one doesn't leave a lot of oil pan clearance if you're trying to lower it. I enjoyed my build and look forward to another sometime soon. As requested, a couple of pictures of the last '59 El Camino.
  20. Like the "wide five" wheels and the bent left front wheel.
  21. My travels around the area take by a large Avis Rent a car lot whenever I go to the model shop. They have a couple of rows of Teslas sitting that never seem to change or move.
  22. I agree with your thought, but there may be a problem. Amagine if Round 2 was to post that they were looking for input for a specific model. They would be inundated with information both valid and not so much. Round 2 or whoever could somehow discreetly get input from reliable sources without alerting every "modeling expert" in the world that may work.
  23. You have to wonder where does the old battery go? Land Fill or some sort of recycling with all the nasty chemicals and such? A vehicle, even a few years old needing a $30k battery replacement sounds like the vehicle is totaled. You guessed it, I'm an old proud ICE believer.
  24. To tell a story on myself. When I was first aware of what a phone was, yes this is a long time ago, I remember seeing what was called a "Candel Stick" phone in old movies and remember as a child visiting my father's office and they even had a few around on the desks. They worked well in that the mouthpiece was at the top and the receiver could be held to your ear with one hand and you could talk to someone while writing something with the other hand. Remember how we used to hold the receiver between our shoulder and our ear until your neck would cramp. Anyway, back to the Candle Stick phone. When I moved around '73 I did one of the bedrooms as an in-home office setting and since I also had an old roll top desk, I thought a Candle Stick phone would be just the thing to have. I found it worked better for what I was doing in the office than a regular phone. Can't find a picture, but I'm sure that there are many that would really be scratching their heads trying to figure that one out.
