Hope there is enough room for the "Leaning Tower of Power" in the engine bay. I think these may have been 4-cylinder engines in the 1:1.

As Billy Joe pointed out, the wheel backs seem far longer than needed. This part looks like something MPC may have used on everything at that time so in many cases like this it puts the tires further out than they should be. I would put the tire in the wheel well where you want it and then measure how much material to remove from the wheel backs. The spindal may have to be shortened as well.

Great looking color combination. Like the rear wheel tubs.

People in machine shops that know what they are doing are skilled craftsmen and deserve the same respect as any other skilled craftsmen. The close tolerances in any machine are the key to its longevity and performance. Mis the proper clearances by thousands of an inch can be the difference between a great long living engine and a "grenade" leaving a gapping whole through the side of the block and an oil pan full of debris if it's even still attached.

BMF under or over clear coat?
espo replied to Sidney Schwartz's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I think it's sort of like the old "Boxers or Briefs" question. I'm in the over clear camp myself, but you will see a lot of great builds done with the foil under the clear. Try it a couple of different ways and see what works best for your own style of build. Depending on what you're building you may find yourself doing one build in one fashion and the next one the other way. Sort of like shinny or flat body color. -
While I'm not a Ford guy, I do think your drive train combination is what I would look for if I was. Great looking rig.

Great looking build and the color and paint finish look good together. Remember when the TPI Injection setup was what a lot of builders were using on the streets. -
Great looking finishes and like the different subjects.
-
Beautiful looking finishes and the fine detailing on the competition models especially.

Beautiful looking collection for '22.

Great looking body fabrication, ever consider casting this ?

My compliments on the clean condition of your street cars. Hard to do anywhere, but especially where the snow flies.

As Mike 1017 suggested, using the exit used on the side on a building for a clothes dryer. Another thing to consider is the normal direction of the wind in your area. Should the exit wall be facing the oncoming wind this may restrict the opening of the flap or cover. These are normally mounted facing downward on the side of a house and if the wind were to be blowing parallel to the side of the building turning the exits slightly toward the air flow may be of some help. My personal setup may be a little different but may also offer some ideas to help. My area is in the storage area of a semifinished basement. The bathroom shares a wall with the area where I do my spray painting. Being a bathroom, it has an exhaust vent and fan. The venting passes through my painting area along the ceiling. What I did was to get a metal Y pipe used for a water heater and have my spray booth connect to the vent from the bathroom. When I'm using the paint booth, I also turn on the bathroom vent, and this seems to work fine in my case.

Very realistic looking, hard to tell if it's a model or the real thing.

Always thought these were some of the most graceful looking cars and this model captures that look and the paint color looks great. Hope you at least shared a picture of this with your professor.

The paint jobs and the mechanical details are all perfectly done.
-
All beautifully built and the colors and different finishes fit each one perfectly.

Enjoyed following the evolution of this build. All the finishes look great, and I like the lower line side trim. The engine and chassis are the most impressive to me.

So many great looking builds, and I like all the phantom body styles.
