Great looking paint color and the finish is nice and smooth, I like the Judge Decals. The factory spoiler that GM used on most of their mid-sized cars always looked like an afterthought and didn't flow well with the body lines.

Can you add that trim and use a Sharpy or some chrome foil?

Good to know, thank you. -

Great looking paint finish and the color shows the body lines well. The factory 8 lug wheels were the best-looking factory wheels from this era. The trim you added, often is best done on the bare plastic and allow the primer to fill any mini gaps.

I like the body design. I would build it as an ICE powered vehicle.

Amazing detail. I like the original look especially with the wood body and the firewood in the bed. Startling difference between the original and what most kits represent. -
Upcoming AMT '66 Chevelle SS Bumper question

Since you have an El Camino kit you might want to check the hood and grill as well in case you ever want to build a Malibu instead of an SS. -
The exterior finishes all look great and correct. I like the body color and finish.

Beautifully done black paint job. They hid no secrets. Having owned a 1:1 '46 Ford sedan many years ago I appreciate their body shapes as well. Lots of back seat leg room. Might think about a black wash on the grill to bring out the grill details. All the trim, lights, and bumpers look great.

The body looks correct now. The color is different from what most builders tend to use for this kit, but I like the settle darker color and the finish looks great. Good looking chassis details.

Post your truck mockups.

Need to finish this. Great looking body mods. -
Slick looking finish with lots of reflections.

I agree with everyone else on the color. There wasn't anything wrong with your first choice, but this looks a lot like some of the colors that Ford also offered.

I like your styling changes. What sort of windshield treatment are you thinking of?

Beautiful looking paint color and finish. I like how you detailed the engine and interior. The side pipes make it look like its sitting even lower.

Great looking color combination.

Upcoming AMT '66 Chevelle SS Bumper question
espo replied to Watertown's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Interesting since I would like to build such a model. I don't think that AMT offered a '66 Chevelle Hardtop. This would leave me to believe this maybe the Lindburg kit being reissued. Like you I'm not a fan of the bumper guards either. Coming from Round 2 they may have removed them from the molds. The old Lindburg kit had the best-looking simulated mag wheel hub caps. Another thought, even if they have the bumper guards, would you be able to use bumpers and other trim from the Revell '66 Chevelle wagon and El Camino? -
What did you see on the road today?

Pulling out of the market parking lot yesterday and noticed a '63 Impala with the top down sitting under the only shade tree in the parking lot. Very clean looking at a glance. -
All three of them look like great builds. Nice stock looking colors. I always like the sleeker lines on the '60 model myself, but they all had a more upscale look than the Fords.

Flying today is so bad that I'll either drive or stay home.
