  1. You could always French the headlight bezels.
  2. You may end up heating the chassis and gently lower the center section raising the front and rear sections to better align in the body.
  3. That may explain why there are no parking lines where this guy abandoned his car.
  4. Anything could be possible. Have you tried checking the chassis out of the body on a flat surface? That may show obvious signs of warpage. I have found on this, and the Charger models it seems like they are trying to stuff 6 gal. of chassis in a 5-gal bucket of body if you know what I mean.
  5. I think the Ring Brothers built a very similar truck a few years ago.
  6. From the picture it appears as if the chassis is pushed too far forward, and the rear portion is also pushed up into the body further than it would be when assembled. In the last picture notice that the details on the top of the inner fender where the front suspension struts would be mounted should be back against the firewall. Maybe temporarily mount the firewall in place with tape or white glue and the rear seating so that the chassis would be in its normal position within the body and then double check your alignment with the body.
  7. I got in touch with our supplemental insurance company and the lady I spoke to alerted us to the errors in coding. She suggested that some office managers or whoever was doing the coding were putting the wrong codes so that the insurance wouldn't pay the claim and the doctor's office could then bill the patient at the higher rate that what the insurance companies would pay.
  8. I was traveling the freeway this morning when rounding a bend in the road there was flashing lights up ahead on the side of the road. I and everyone else started moving over to give the officer plenty of safe room alongside the freeway. I never realized just how low a Lamborghini Murcielago really is since we just don't see them here in the wild. The roof line looked lower than the top edge of the officer's push bumper on the front of his Charger. Somewhat surprised he didn't try and "Rabbit", but it is hard to outrun those radio things.
  9. Another issue has to do with the doctor's office and how they submit and code the bill to the insurance company. There was one time when I found out, a couple of years later, that the doctor's office manager would submit the claim and then bill us saying they wouldn't cover whatever we had done. The office manager was using the wrong codes on purpose so the insurance wouldn't pay the claim and then would bill us at the regular rate instead of the reduced payment that the insurance would have paid.

  11. Beautiful paint finish and color. Clean minimal body trim. Being sort of old fashion I prefer the step side bed on short wheelbase pickups.

  14. While I see your point with the snow and all, but often the drivers don't look out the back window on a clear day. Beyond the dangers of limited visibility, the wind can blow off chunks of the snow from the trunk and at hi way speeds even damage windshields of cars following not to mention the loss of the following cars visibility.

  16. Ace-Garage mentioned something very important about striping any resin body or part. I once turned a very nice resin body into mush stripping it with the purple power method. Other than sanding by hand, the best approach might be to contact the original caster of the resin part for suggestions as to how to strip the part without damaging the part.
  17. I also have used the Tamiya 'smoke' and even the TS-72 Clear Blue in spray cans to tint windows. I mask off the window on the outside and leave a narrow band on the inside at the top of the windshield and give it a light color coat. Less is more on this type of application.

  19. Great looking bright blue paint and the smooth finish. The body trim is all well done. Clean looking engine detailing.

  23. One thought on doing BMF on models. Look at where the OEM trim breaks are on a 1:1 car. Most trim around say a windshield or a rear window will have large parts going along the top and bottom of the opening. The vertical portions of the trim will be a separate part and often a small almost square transition part at the window opening corners. By following the way the factory would trim a car body you're not trying to bend a long section of foil causing the foil to not want to lay down smoothly in some areas, plus you'll use less foil.
  24. #1. Your braver than myself with this section work. #2. I think you nailed the body proportions and even kept the door lines lined up. Should you even consider chopping the top as well error on the side of removing very little. The top height ratio to the body height looks pretty close as is.
