  1. Your build looks nice especially with all of the horror stories I've heard about these kits.
  2. This is a beautiful looking Plymouth. I like the Convertible idea and the 6 Cylinder "Leaning Tower of Power" really catches your eye. The paint is great and the chrome body trim looks perfect. You are correct the Cragars add to the appearance. Hmm, right hand drive. Was that a personal challenge ?
  3. I like the way you built your custom here. You mentioned the rear roll pan, but I think it looks fine. Sanding the large expanse of the body sides must have been fun. The paint finish is also smooth and looks great. As an aside on the engine. Your engine matches the appearance of the one year only 350 cu in 305 hp 2 four barrel engine. In '59 they increased the bore and became the 361 cu in with the same horsepower rating and a single 4 barrel. This engine was also offered in two versions for '60 with the option of duel four barrels and 310 hp. This block also had another bore increase too 383 cu in. The standard 383 with a single 4 barrel was rated at 325 hp with a 2 four barrel option both rated at 330 hp. The top 2x4 option had a torque rating of 469 lbs @2800 rpm and was called the Ram. The normal 2x4 had a torque rating of 425 lbs @ 3600 rpm. With a difference of 44 ft lbs and at a 800 lower rpm you have to wonder what all they did with the Cam and Heads. This information is from one of my old Motor's Auto Repair manuals copyrighted 1962. More information than you might want, but you got the engine correct on this.
  4. In the 1:1 world these always seemed so elegant looking, and with the way you used different colors you did the same with this build. I have know idea what all you had to do on the engine but it looks factory to my eyes. Almost expect to see Clark Gabel or some other movie star leaning on the fender.
  5. Beautiful looking Sedan. Besides the great looking subdued colors the Arden conversion engine just looks like it should.
  6. Great looking interior and chassis.
  7. Very clean looking build. I like the added details on the engine also.
  8. Very impressive looking, we don't see Brass Era models much so this is interesting.
  9. Beautiful build, hard to tell from a 1:1 in many ways. The paint finish is amazing and the interior is also. I like the way you do your radiator and grill.
  10. The interior wood grain looks great from here.
  11. Very good point. We have several present and past educators in the neighborhood and some of their stories are of unacceptable behavior by students. As you point out the parents don't believe their little precious couldn't be the problem.. Maybe schools might consider issuing Body Cams for Teachers for their own protection and give you something to discuss at Parent - Teachers Meetings.
  12. Chevrolet Impalas were a popular car for this type of build. The AMT '76 model has been reissued a few times and I would think you could find one of those.
  13. Don't get me wrong, I'm all in favor of buying Ammo when ever I need it. Dedicated Gun Stores and Sporting Goods stores that sell Guns and Ammo are considered a necessity and must remain open here per the states Governor.
  14. This is like the E-Mail my wife got from her Accountants Assoc. Not sure where they got it, but it's pretty funny.
  15. I like the engine swap and all of the other features you used from the other kits. You can believe someone could do a 1:1 in just the same manor. great looking paint work also.
  16. Only the brave do this extensive work on a freshly painted body. Still amazed at how you engineer your way out of a problem.
  17. This should be interesting to watch. I know I have at least 2 of these that I built back when they were new. I remember uncovering one a few years ago, I was always so proud of these builds. Memory has a way of playing tricks on you, or maybe I just didn't notice the orange peal so much back then.
  18. Beautiful looking paint and trim. I like the way you detailed the undercarriage and the engine colors all look OEM.
  19. This is a very realistic looking build. The color is really special also. I remember very few painted this color and often wondered why since it really compliments the body lines and trim. I like the way you did the engine, sort of the way it would have been before someone added all the chrome and such.
  20. The paint work is really smooth and looks great.

    Mazda RX-7

As mentioned by others, the paint color is not a shade often seen on an RX7, not a bad thing as it draws your attention. The trim is nice and cleanly done. One thing I noticed on the wheels is the design resembles the Rotor from the engine.
  22. Since we have a $500 fine in effect if you're just out cruising I just look out the window and wait for the Mail Man, pretty bad when that's the high point of your day. That white Jeep with the blue and red striping is to look pretty good.
  23. Search a little further on engine colors. The color would depend on which engine was in the car and usually had to do with the color of the valve covers and air cleaner. The Edsel's also had some different cu.in. engines ware Ford would use the crank shaft from a larger displacement engine, sort of a factory stroker motor. Besides the yellow you mentioned they also had a white valve cover and air cleaner engine.
  24. Great looking Scout. I like the color and the finish.
  25. This looks so much better as a short bed step side. Nice grill, shows great patience on your part.
