  1. Even on the three lane, one direction, highways around here the center lane becomes the slow lane. They usually are going at least 15 to 20 mph below the posted speed limit. Then of course we have more than our fair share of left lane sitters. I have often entered the highway and driven at or just over the posted 70 mph and never leave the lane for 20 + miles before I get off. I anticipate the cars entering and leaving the lane and very my speed to allow them to enter or leave without crowding them. I'll actually make better time driving this way and get to my off ramp often far ahead of the cars that stayed in the left lane and dealt with all of the other drivers and their issues in the operation of a motor vehicle. Driving is very hard for some people and you can't help but think some of them are just trying to see how many people they can mess with on the highway.
  2. Great looking conversion to four wheel drive. I like the color, it reminds me of the Forestry Service color and they used a light shade of grey instead of the white. Very cleanly built.
  3. I remember some of the information and build pictures you shared when you were restoring this car. I always liked the Aero front end on these Firebirds.
  4. Great looking build. Just like Cadillac had their version of the Corvette, Chrysler could have done something on this order also. Very clean looking finish and the colors fit this well.
  5. This isn't as bad as some I have seen. I think you have to remember that 99% of Resin cast bodies are not going to be a direct fit replacement body for any of the production kits. They will all need a little finessing. I have built only a few Resin bodied kits in the past and I just have to remember going in that there will be frustration and a LOT of fitment problems. As long as the exterior represents what you want the rest is just is just some fine tuning.
  6. Very nice looking build. It took me a minute to figure out what you were doing with the trunk lid. I see you're going for the '39 grill.
  7. Great job on the roof conversion. I usually chicken out on major plastic surgery like this.
  8. They are coming thru now and they look great. I like the trailer you built.
  9. Great looking build and I like the color combination with the interior. Always good to hear of McNally's exploits.
  10. Not sure of the problems posting but your pictures aren't getting thru.
  11. Very clean looking build. Excellent detailing.

    AMT 68 Camaro

Turned out great, especially considering what you had to start with. I agree, the '67 and '68 Camaros just look right without the front bumpers.
  13. Great paint work. Very cleanly detailed thru out.
  14. This may have been what they used to call Factory Experimental or Modified Production. I don't recall the exact time frame that the NHRA was using these different designations, but my thought was that Mr.Mopar would be able to find the information on their web site.
  15. Turned out beautifully. I followed your prolonged build and saw some of the hurdles you had to overcome. This looks like something Pontiac could or should have offered. I like all the diving equipment in the bed.

    '56 Chevy

Great looking '56. You got the look of the 1:1 perfectly. Did you tuck the front bumper on this ? This kit's front bumper normally looks like an "Under Bite"
  17. It would seem that they could use some driver training for the Suffolk Shariff's office. That much carnage can't be normal, can it ? Maybe these are props from a movie or TV shoot. Otherwise some officers is still doing paper work on this mess.
  18. If someone is unable to supply you with proof positive on the tire size info, try looking maybe on the NHRA site and see if you can find the rule book for '69. In the rule book it should show the allowable tires sizes depending on what class the car was running.
  19. That's great that you could find such a complete '60 El Camino. The '59 El Camino has been reissued a number of times and it is also a great kit. Like you I'd love to find another '60. The one I have is a partly built with a shorted bed. Not sure what I was thinks way back then.
  20. Outstanding looking model. The unusual colors work well together as does the interior. I like the mild ageing of the undercarriage. All of the trim is very cleanly done.
  21. I just saw this at the KC Slammers Heartland Nationals. As good as it looks in the pictures you really need to see it in person to fully appreciate what this build looks like. Cory hit this one out of the park.
  22. I like how you made it into a three window, looks very natural. Great engine choice, you don't get to see a blown Y block very often if not ever.
  23. Great looking paint finish. I also like the color with a small amount of foil should look very nice.
  24. I like how the seats turned out. While not correct for an OEM car, Sears used to sell a ton of seat covers and these look a lot like they did. While convertibles of this era usually had some type of vinyl seats most cars had cloth interiors that were not very durable and it was common for someone to buy a new car and then have Sears or some other upholstery shop put seat covers on. They often looked better than what the manufacture installed anyway.
  25. Nothing escapes the saw on this work bench. I like this conversion a lot. Now are we going to see the rest of the Chevrolet cab become a fast back ?
