  1. Great looking build. The White color gives it a very clean appearance and it goes well with the light colored interior. The '56 Ford F-100 was in my mind the best looking truck they ever produced and they have offered many good looking trucks.

They all look very nice. Man doing a half a dozen builds every month doesn't leave much time for anything else does it ?

Your build looks great and I like the theme. I have only visited Hawaii a coupe of times, I don't think a black car is wise in the tropics, but I know that's the way it works on TV.
  4. Great looking "Stock" A. I don't often see one built this way, and that's a shame because the original is a very handsome looking car.
  5. The Head lights and the Hood almost look production ready for the '59 model year. The production models had a much deeper center section on the Hood but the Head lights look about wright I'm glad they passed on the Grill. The Hub Caps look like the '56 Bel Air design.
  6. Are my eyes deceiving me or is that an "Orange Peal" finish on that paint ?
  7. Thank you. I have to get into a very bad position to clear gutters at one end of the house. I usually use my 12 ft. latter and wooden blocks because of the uneven ground. . At least that way I have four contact points rather than the two very small feet on the extension latter. The latter I used also had no hooks to rest against the gutters and as soon as the earth shifted it just slid out and I was left at least 6 ft. in the air. I'm really getting to old for this sort of thing, I'll be 75 in June. I'm saving up for gutter covers.
  8. She may have , and it sounds like she sure did, break his heart. But if he's a decent guy he will hopefully find someone in the future that is worthy of his attention and devotion. She will someday meet someone just like herself and the guy will rip her heart out just like she did here. Payback is a mother, unfortunately you aren't always around to see it. I have and I admit it was very satisfying when they came around looking for a shoulder to cry on.
  9. I usually use the # 75 .021 or #74 0225 size drill bits for installing plug wires if that's any help.
  10. I'm sure there would be a lot of that also. Find just about any old picture of "Dandy Dick Landy" and you will see him with his trade mark Cigar that he chomped on all the time.
  11. Another off the wall place to look for small fittings like this is one of the Hobby Lobby/Michael's type stores that offer jewelry parts. I have found many odd shapes and sizes for next to nothing not to mention tools there.
  12. The first year model MCSS's were White with Blue interiors. Late in the model year and into '75 they added a Mt. Blue or White. For '76 they added a Dark Maroon and Black and I think the Blue went away or I don't recall seeing one. They added the Aero rear Window to make it legal for NASCAR and those were a hard sell at the time. They trunk opening was almost nonexistent and the fit and finish around the rear conversion left a bit to be desired. I agree that a good bright Red might have helped sell a few more.
  13. Beautiful looking build. Great concept, a Montemad. Looking at the rear and side windows, interested how and what you used there. I like how you created the tailgate.
  14. Very nice looking Type 1, I like the warmed over engine. The Trailer turned out great. I enjoyed watching all of the detailing you put into this.
  15. OOOO NOOOOO, That's me as a child, and things haven't changed much even today.
  16. Outstanding weathering and ageing on this build. Looks just like an old work truck in 1:1.
  17. Your correct, that is a Mustang. I'm surprised that I didn't notice that until after you pointed it out. I guess I was just looking at the colors. The Dash should have tipped me of also.
  18. Great looking stance and color. You may have learned a valuable lesson with the purchase of this built up kit. Just like in the 1:1 world the seller will often tell you what ever you want to hear just to get you to by what ever used object they are selling. At least you were able to make a very nice build out of what you got.
  19. Great job chopping the top, just like the 1:1 cars. You really should think about casting this one. I like the Artillery Wheels.
  20. Now that's funny.
  21. Congratulations !!! The best part is you can spoil your grandchild and then give them back, and if you time it right you wont even have to change a diaper.
  22. Thank you for the great pictures. Nice to see a Dodge back in race trim again.
  23. They look great. You can almost smell the Cigar smoke from here.
  24. Not a kit you see being done often anymore. The interior picture looks as if the hood in the background that you added stripes to the hood ? Like you I'm a Monte Carlo fan and previous owner. I had a super clean 1 owner '72 and a new '86 SS that I sold in 2001. Both provided perfect service with only standard maintenance and both saw 100k miles.
