  1. In the past this has usually meant some changes in the content of the kit. Could just be a different set of decals and or wheels and tires. I don't think they would just change the stock number of a kit unless there was a change in the theme of the kit. An example would be the '64 Impala that was first issued as a stock OEM style, then as a 2 in 1 and then as a low ridder. Different stock numbers with some changes in content. Again just glad to see something positive is starting to happen.
  2. Ya you're right about the Suburban not being New. I'm just hoping that they would add things like the duel exhaust and engine dress up parts from the pick up kit. They'll still sell a large number of these even if it's a straight reissue, but a guy can always hope. Still would like to know just what the issues in red and marked New are modified reissue or a new tool altogether.
  3. Would be nice if Round 2 was able to tune up the '55 sedan with some of the Nomad's extras and a set or two of their new tires. I would be a buyer, and I still have several of the original AMT '55's in the stash.
  4. My interest would be the '64 Impala. Would this be a straight reissue or something along the lines of the California Wheels series, and maybe a little better engine. Since the '66 Suburban is listed as also being New leads me to believe they may add some of the features of the '66 C-10 pickups. Just thankful that we will be able to again buy the models we enjoy.
  5. The ladies don't seem very happy about the photo shoot.
  6. Looks like a great place to spend an afternoon. That "Thing" on the dash of the '53 Oldsmobile,. In the early to mid '50's GM was playing with automatic head light dimers, which is what you are looking at.
  7. Remarkably realistic. This light Beige color was fairly common on these. You even got the correct rubber moldings around the rear windows. The color detailing on the chassis looks perfect.
  8. I like where you're going with this one. What was the source of your wheels ?? I have one of these scattered across the top of my desk right now.
  9. Very clean well built, I like the way you molded in the wheel tubs. The color really looks great and the finish is unbelievable smooth and shinny.
  10. I like what you did with your wheels. The engine looks outstanding, so realistic.
  11. I stopped in the O.P. Ks stores last week and only picked up another Suburban kit. I'm not into Die Cast but they had several new issues including a '65 2+2 Mustang in 1/25th. They had some other cars including a great looking black Datsun 510. Just thought I would mention the Die Cast for those who enjoy them, these looked almost good enough that I considered buying the 510.
  12. I have seen and read articles about this builder. Really amazing works of art.
  13. I remember years ago Chevrolet was playing with a prototype mid engine Corvette. As I recall the cost to build and the technology involved at that time killed the project. While many if not most of the problems at that time may have been overcome to the point that they can now make a business model for building it now. The biggest draw back in my mind is still the cost to the consumer, I think the number of people who would be able to justify the expense would be far smaller than the more conventional layout of today. In the far distant past I have owned a C-1 and a C-3 and enjoyed both but at this time Corvettes are beyond my means and not practical as if they ever were.
  14. Not sure if this even matters, but when I used the provided link to look at this Chrysler up pops the Turbine car. This model was little more than an unassembled Promo. I can see the value in the '62 Chrysler whatever, but the Turbine model has been reissued several times, so unless it's something you feel that you just have to have then I wouldn't bother.
  15. Got up this morning and looked out at what I thought would be a nice day, at 5:30 a.m., 68 degrees. Then I checked the humidity, 84%. This is ridiculous.
  16. I can see from the rear door openings your scribing your getting there. The hardest part maybe getting the center of the roof to look even.
  17. Very nice looking '40. I like the interior and the Air Freshener on the rear view mirror, nice touch.
  18. Fireball and some of the others listed in the directory would be a good place to look. Or offer a trade for the wheels and tires from the first Revell offering that could be built either stock or strip.
  19. My brother-in-law sent us a picture of a spare tire cover that shows the shift pattern for a 6 speed manual on it and says something about auto theft prevention. I have to get one of those covers for our JK since it's a 6 speed. I have taken it to the dealer for service and the lot boys can't drive it up from service since non of them can drive it.
  20. A very long time ago Crager used a dark blue back ground behind their name. Maybe a tiny drop of clear blue over the name if you wanted to bring them out. Looks fine the way it is.
  21. I like the way you detailed the Flathead. The new Flat Black paint job gives this a timeless look.
  22. Great, clean looking build. The Wire Wheels and wide whites look period perfect. The little trim removal lightens up the look of the body.
  23. Great looking build. I like your wheel choice.
  24. So you say this is your 4th model ? It looks far better than my 4th model no matter what I thought at that time. You have the clean assembly in hand. I for see great things in your future modeling.
  25. Excellent detailing with the washes and deferent paint treatments.
