  1. Great assembly and paint finish. Those bumpers are difficult to get to sit straight.
  2. Some great looking builds. I like the graphics on the orange Nova but it looks more '70's than '80's. The Pro Street movement was alive and well.
  3. Very nice, I like the Monochromatic look. The bed wood looks good also, is that a decal or a paint treatment ?
  4. Great looking Gasser. I like the Ansens on the rear.
  5. I'm fitting a Corvette LS engine and Trans Axle in the rear of a '69 Corvair. Since the gear box is between the engine and the axle the engine is a little further into the interior than I would like but I think I'll be able to make it look believable.
  6. Great clean looking build. I started one a couple of years ago and got side tracked, Squirrel, after seeing this I really need to get back to it. You have the right stance and a great color.
  7. Post it in the Trading Post section, much better chance of finding someone who wants to trade.
  8. You're off to a great start. I like the chassis setup.
  9. Very ambitious undertaking. The good news is that much if not all of the body sheet metal is now reproduced. The removal of some of the suspension parts may have saved them from further damage. From what I have seen of your other posts you have the mechanical aptitude for this project and labor would be the most expensive part of this project. I wish you well and would enjoy seeing how this progresses.
  10. That's what I used to tell the guy also. I was smart enough to quit in my 20's.
  11. I think we all need to dig out some pictures of our selves when we were in our prime. Then hold them next to our mugs as we look in the mirror. What's that screaming all about ??
  12. I have tried several different home Rug Cleaning machines thru the years and have never been all that satisfied with their performance or durability. I have had so called professional rug cleaners do our carpeting and wind up with wet carpet for a week or more and that really helps to clean the bottom of your shoes but then you need the rugs redone.
  13. I used a setup from Replicas & Miniatures on a build last year. They offer part #P-143 that includes a perfect intake manifold and carbs, with air cleaners that I would recommend replacing as they look to small to me. They also have some valve covers from the AMT '63 Ford pick-up #P-127. Hope that helps.
  14. The exhaust dumbs seem a little over done, but who am I to say. Great looking paint and interior, a very clean looking build.
  15. Such a realistic looking build. I like the understated look, very believable delivery truck. The little detail touches, like the Chevrolet script under the rear window and the dash add to the look. I have herd so much negative said about this kit, but this look great.
  16. This is a truly beautiful looking build. The subject is special, that goes without saying, but you replicated it perfectly.
  17. I really like the Before build, but the After is more of a current look to it. Either way this is an outstanding looking model.

Great color and very nice paint job. Very clean looking build. I would guess that having built a few 1:1's back in the day you know how they're supposed to look.
  19. This model almost looks real only needing a back ground setting. I'd be reaching for my license and registration if I saw that in my rear view mirror.
  20. The cars look great but I really like the boats.
  21. The few that I knew of in '65 were either equipped with the 373s or 411s. A co-worker had a bench seat Malibu L-79 as a daily driver and as I recall he had the 373s. He often tried to scare me with his. I didn't scare easy but I might have gotten a little frightened ones or twice. Like I said these were a best kept secret.
  22. I'll have to remember about this when my Testosterone starts to run low and I'm out of Viagra.
  23. If anyone remembers ever coming across one of the few L-79 327 Chevelles you might question why Chevrolet would even consider the 396 cars. The big difference was in the way you could drive them. The 396 cars relied on the massive torque to get moving. With the 325 H.P. engine you could almost idle away from an intersection and never even go much more than 3000 R.P.M. when accelerating and hardly use the secondary's in the carburetor. The L-79 327 was much like the Z-28 302 engine in that they lacked low RPM Torque and you needed to get them up into the 2500 to 3000 RPM range before they would become very responsive. The L-79 may have been the best kept secret since not that many were around, but if you ever got a ride in one driven in anger you were in for a thrill. The 396 was very easy to drive in traffic where the L-79 was kind of nerves in that you had to keep it wound up.
  24. I mentioned my friends '58 Impala. Well in '68 I ordered a Bel Air tudoor with the 427 and 4 speed. Had all the factory go fast goodies and Air Conditioning and a Stereo 8 Track. Now before you laugh about the 8 track remember in '68 that was a big deal along with the Multi Plex Stereo. And yes that was another light year jump.
