I sure miss the "Orangutan". I used to enjoy watching the nonsense Top Gear.

The nice thing about these models is that they are very presentable as is. Should you consider changing them later you could. The stock Studebaker really catches my eye since I can't remember ever seeing one done stock and it is finished nicely.

Great find. Every now and then you'll see something of this nature show up. If you can you really need to save them.

Part of my motivation is based on an experience in the late '60's living in Southern California. There was a company I think was called Crown Engineering that offered kits and installations of small block Chevys in Corvairs. I actually got into an impromptu road race in the Santa Ana Canyon with one. He was kind enough to stop and wait for me to catch up to him. He gave me a chance to examine his car and we parted. With this build I plan on a low fire wall between the front seats and the engine. I'll place a clear plastic see thru lid on the engine compartment. The Radiator is were the Corvair engine was and the air will exit from the stock location under the rear bumper. This is how his was built, the only difference being he had a solid cover over the engine so it just looked like a cover over the back seat. That thing was unbelievably fast and easily pulled away from my 396/350 H.P. 4 speed '67 El Camino.

Beautiful restoration, and you stayed true to the theme. I also wish that the original stock Grand Prix was available.

Great assembly and paint finish. Those bumpers are difficult to get to sit straight.

Some great looking builds. I like the graphics on the orange Nova but it looks more '70's than '80's. The Pro Street movement was alive and well.

Very nice, I like the Monochromatic look. The bed wood looks good also, is that a decal or a paint treatment ?

This guy forgot his wide White Belt.

I'm fitting a Corvette LS engine and Trans Axle in the rear of a '69 Corvair. Since the gear box is between the engine and the axle the engine is a little further into the interior than I would like but I think I'll be able to make it look believable.

Great clean looking build. I started one a couple of years ago and got side tracked, Squirrel, after seeing this I really need to get back to it. You have the right stance and a great color.

Post it in the Trading Post section, much better chance of finding someone who wants to trade.

You're off to a great start. I like the chassis setup.

Very ambitious undertaking. The good news is that much if not all of the body sheet metal is now reproduced. The removal of some of the suspension parts may have saved them from further damage. From what I have seen of your other posts you have the mechanical aptitude for this project and labor would be the most expensive part of this project. I wish you well and would enjoy seeing how this progresses.

That's what I used to tell the guy also. I was smart enough to quit in my 20's.

I think we all need to dig out some pictures of our selves when we were in our prime. Then hold them next to our mugs as we look in the mirror. What's that screaming all about ??

I have tried several different home Rug Cleaning machines thru the years and have never been all that satisfied with their performance or durability. I have had so called professional rug cleaners do our carpeting and wind up with wet carpet for a week or more and that really helps to clean the bottom of your shoes but then you need the rugs redone.

I used a setup from Replicas & Miniatures on a build last year. They offer part #P-143 that includes a perfect intake manifold and carbs, with air cleaners that I would recommend replacing as they look to small to me. They also have some valve covers from the AMT '63 Ford pick-up #P-127. Hope that helps.

The exhaust dumbs seem a little over done, but who am I to say. Great looking paint and interior, a very clean looking build.

Such a realistic looking build. I like the understated look, very believable delivery truck. The little detail touches, like the Chevrolet script under the rear window and the dash add to the look. I have herd so much negative said about this kit, but this look great.

This is a truly beautiful looking build. The subject is special, that goes without saying, but you replicated it perfectly.

I really like the Before build, but the After is more of a current look to it. Either way this is an outstanding looking model.

Great color and very nice paint job. Very clean looking build. I would guess that having built a few 1:1's back in the day you know how they're supposed to look.

This model almost looks real only needing a back ground setting. I'd be reaching for my license and registration if I saw that in my rear view mirror.
