I love this kit. You might try Brake Fluid on the Red body, or just put it back in the Purple Pond and have patience.

Hey happy new year?My Jeep battery is dead...
espo replied to NYLIBUD's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
You might want to check and see if there is something drawing current when the Jeep is parked. With sub zero temps even a dome light can hurt a battery. Are you sure you have a good ground and the charging system is doing what it's supposed to do. -
Thank you for every ones interest in my builds. I'm not sure who did the body since there was no name on the box. I think it is based on a conversion done by someone on this Forum. They used the roof and trunk area from the AMT Chevrolet. The same person then turned the Chevrolet into a business coupe. There did seem to be more grinding needed on the body to get the chassis to fit than should have been. I also had to modify the kit's dash board to get it to clear the windshield area. I wanted to make a model of an old friends car from years ago and it's close but not exact. Thank you for your interest. Thank you both for your kind words. The Dune Buggy is based on the Myers Manx kit without the body. I was trying to replicate a Buggy that my Father in Law and I had years ago. It was built from a wreck. I built the rack to support the fuel tank just as the 1:1 was. Making the wheels from an old '36 Ford kit was the most fun since the look very convincing as VW wheels.

All great looking. The paint treatment on the Ranchero is outstanding as is the Chevelle. I like the '57 Ford also.

Beautiful looking Chrysler. The Competition builds are all very clean. The '57 Ford makes me sad.

41 Chevy 3"chop and drop
espo replied to HDDan's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I like that. The chopped top doesn't look out of proportion to the body and that isn't always the case. Great paint finish. -
Beautiful builds. I like the convertible top on the 356, is that in the kit ?
-
They all have such outstanding paint work. I like the fade on the Cadillac, and the conversion on the Escalade, I thought it was a Chrysler at first. I really like your '41 Chevy pick-up, I remember following your build on that.

Very nice clean well built models. You seem to accomplish a great deal in the minimum of time on your builds. I remember the Plymouth. That front end was a real challenge.
-
Great looking GT40's. The GTX and Road Runners are some of my favorites. Where did the Grand Prix come from ? Is this an old kit or a Resin ?
-
Great looking builds. Glad to see some well done NASCAR builds. I like the Chevy pick-up and the Firebird.
-
Great variety of subjects. The Trucks look just like what you would see on the road. The T-Bird is very nice and I really like the '49 Ford having driven several of these Shoe Boxes thru the years.
-
Beautiful builds. I can see why you received the many well deserved awards for them.
-
I enjoyed watching your build. Amazing how the extra efforts on the chassis and interior detailing really brings this alive.
-
Great looking build. Where did the body come from ? Many thumbs up on the B-400 and the Foose pick up.
-
Good looking engine. What all did you do to create the Hood ? You have the "Stink Bug" stance done perfectly.
-
Very nice design. There were many who Poo Poo'd this model when first released, but just as you have done, it makes a great basis for something else if you don't like the original kit. I expect to see several such conversions in 2018.

1967 Corvette (Monogram) - Updated 28 Jan 2019

Very nice interior especially the instruments. -
Great looking group of Fords and I like the Caddy also. They have a good Cruiser Vibe until you look under the hood of the Cougar.
-
Great looking Thunder Bolt. Like you I have been trying to get the hang of the Molotow Pen and can't seem to do trim just yet. I like the way you detailed your engine and the open vent on the back side of the hood.

Thank you for the heads up on this. I checked mine and it's the Badger brand and not part of their recall so I'm good on this but it's very important to have at least one in the garage and the Kitchen both.

I have done a couple of vinyl roofs using Rust-Oleum Textured spray paint. They offer Black, White, and a think a light Brown color. This will give you a textured finish that looks very much like a Vinyl Roof. Since it is all hard to mask off I would recommend spraying the Textured paint after all of the other paintwork including the Clear Coat has been done. Remember to mask off any moldings around the top that you're going to Chrome since it leaves a rough surface and wouldn't look correct to try and Chrome. I would recommend testing on a plastic spoon to see if the finish is what you're after.

Very nice paint and the conversion work on the chassis and drive train is exceptional.
