  1. They're also way better than the plastic tires they used to have...
  2. Which Actros are you building? Can you share pictures of the items in question in the instructions? ?
  3. The chassis plate for the long bed was extensively modified for the USA-1 truck as well as the hood. The stock long bed kit will probably not see the light of day. What they could do in the vein of the Nova and the '64 Galaxie is start pumping out unassembled promos. They kept going right up until 1998. Tool up an additional interior tub and a new chassis plate and they could do all the different configurations of the truck from 88-98.
  4. Revell of this period took a lot of shortcuts. They tooled up essentially the same chassis and California Stepside bed in full-size and mini-truck size. The full-size ended up being limited to Chevy trucks while the mini-truck was shared by the LUV, Courier, and Datsun. All versions used a generic small-block Chevy. I think both size beds were available in parts packs, too.
  5. I just checked those renderings against a kit I have and the pattern on the door panels is completely different as is the seat. So, looks like new parts. Here's the instructions from the original.
  6. x3 ?‍♂️
  7. And it's only been issued those two times. Getting ridiculous prices these days.
  8. How about a reissue of the '79 Bronco? And re-working the '79 truck into a proper F-150? A guy can dream....
  9. I have the same build in my to-do pile! What colour blue did you use? It looks great!
  10. Lindberg '37 Ford is a great 1:24 custom chassis. A Coyote is available either from 3D/resin vendors or maybe the '13 Boss 302 kit?
  11. Those kits aren't exactly common here, either! ? The GMC grille looks good! I'm wondering how you made it?
  12. Sure looks like 8-lug front drive hubs to me!
  13. If you're a newcomer to the game, completely unknown to the OEM, they're going to ask for a very large portion of the licensing fees for the term up front. So, if you want a three-year deal they want 18 months worth of fees up front and the remainder on a set schedule. I've also heard that GM is the easiest to deal with. FCA now Stellantis not so much, especially for a US based company as all their licensing is done through a European agency.
  14. There were a whole bunch of bare chassis in the trailer yard today so I snapped some pictures. Bare chassis, bare generator chassis, 53' container, 53' standalone reefer container, and the front of a reefer container that uses the generator. Also, my truck photobombed a few pictures. ? https://public.fotki.com/fabrux/container-chassis/
  15. Should still be in business, an order from him came through my hands a month or two ago.
  16. The brewery here in town ships beer out exclusively in refrigerated vans. ??
  17. Aside from slicing and dicing with the AMT Lightning and MPC Bronco that Revell kit is the way to go. Good sources for the M5OD are the AMT Ranger or the Lindberg '97 F-150.
  18. I did some digging around in my collection and the wheels from the Baldwin Motion Camaro fit pretty good. Fireball FMR-203 looks like it might work better, though.
  19. The entirety of my company's fleet are triaxle chassis with the ability to extend to haul 53' containers. Half of them also have generators on them for refrigeration units. They just bought around 60 of them for a new contract.... I can provide reference pics if necessary. ?
  20. Considering SJR started with a kit of a 1979 Oldsmobile 442 and grew from there, I think they'll do just fine with the Gen 6 car. ??
  21. I meant disc wheels as in non-spoked wheels. ?
  22. https://m.facebook.com/groups/192098637494309/permalink/4234060359964763/?sfnsn=mo
  23. Wouldn't it be great if Round 2 would put some money into these trailers to make a modern 53 footer? Disc wheels, air ride suspension, feet in the landing gear instead of wheels.... ?
