  1. Great save and a beautiful color , well done !
  2. Thanks Bob ! The front tires came from The Parts Box only because they are slightly smaller diameter , the rest are from the kit . Here's a couple of photos showing the cut down springs.
  3. Thanks Emre ! Thank you very much Tony ! Thanks DJ ! I don't usually go with polished plastic except with these early Monogram kits , it just looks right .
  4. Great conversion , I like it a lot ! Well done Andrew !
  5. Now that's a cool looking custom ! For some reason I've always liked these Thunderbirds and yours is the nicest yet . The tonneau is a cool extra and nice work on the window tint , not always the easiest thing to do . Great job Steve !
  6. Great looking Tweedy Pie ! These are definitely fiddly kits and can really try your patience , nice job !
  7. Thanks David ! Thanks much Jim! Thanks Chris ! Thanks very much Phil !

Beautiful old classic , love the color choices ! Excellent job !
  9. I just finished this one after only three weeks on my bench , it's built mostly right out of the box with just a couple changes . The first change was to cut down the front and rear springs to lower the ride height 1/8th inch all around , this is probably not the preferred way but it was the simplest and caused no problems with the rest of the build . While working on the front I also modified it to have poseable steering . Then I swapped the front tires with some from The Parts Box which have a smaller diameter , not much but enough to add more rake to the finished model . I also removed the front license plate from the headlight crossbar , to me it cluttered things and just looks better without the plate . I also opened the exhaust and printed a rear license plate . To finish it off I printed a surf board decal to match the box art . The fenders and frame were molded in a Crimson Red plastic that was polished and I printed decals for the wood grain panels then sprayed the body inside and out with Tamiya TS-13 Clear . This is probably the easiest kit I've built in a long time , it was a pleasure to build and went together exactly like it should with no issues at all . Here's a ride height "before and after" photo . Finished chassis . A couple of the finished body . More finished photo , thanks for lookin' !
  10. Looks good to me TJ ! Don't see silver Camaro's built too often and I like wheel choice too !
  11. Beautifully done Phil ! Love the look of those wheels and tires with the blue metallic paint !
  12. Great detailing on all of them Bill ! I really like what you've done to the Killer bee , such an improvement over the basic kit ! Mine has been on hold while I search for better tires with not much luck . Where did you find those rear paddle tires ? They're exactly what I can't find !
  13. I'm with you Ron . . . I know just a little about planes and that one is very cool !
  14. That is really cool Pat ! I like that so much I may buy one myself !
  15. Thanks much Trevor ! There's a Betty kit also . . . she's not a nice as Wilma .
  16. Yep . Actually I never understood the whole 88 mph thing and why the car struggled and took so long to reach it .
  17. Another super clean nicely painted plane ! Just shows that these basic kits make some very presentable models !
  18. Such a clean looking build with super nice paint . Well done !
  19. Man that's a nice looking aircraft , and it's going to be a very cool display when finished ! Very well done !
  20. Beautifully done ! Your paint work and attention to details is very impressive !
  21. Absolutely gorgeous Fury Steve , best one ever ! I've got your Fotki bookmarked for inspiration/reference and just checked your original photos . . . amazing the difference good photography makes . Just shows we are always improving at all aspects of the hobby .
  22. Beautifully done ! Both Mark and Bobby made the Matador a legitimate race car when others laughed at it .
