  1. There are three things on my list of things to do . First is to repaint the hood . Probably purple , and definitely with no stripes . I liked them at first but as I worked on the car I started to change my mind . Second is to buy some clear styrene and make real windows for the back and sides ( flush fitting ) . All I had was some thin clear plastic that I glued inside the roof . And third is to get rid of those tailpipe extensions . They are too long and I think don't belong on this type of car . I really like the way it turned out , but I guess nobody is ever really satisfied . What do you think ?
  2. Thanks everyone for the comments . Corvair Jim - I hope you finish your project soon . I can't wait to see it ! Webb - The colors would look great on your Stude . I'm planning on using them again on my own sedan delivery project . BOB .
  3. Hey Riley , It looks fine for a first try . Much better than I did when I was 14 . Looks like you have a talent for this kind of stuff ! Keep up the good work ! BOB .
  4. Nice wagon ! Love those wheels .
  5. Now that is COOL ! Love the paint , and the flames turned out great ! Do you remember who you bought the mask from ?
  6. Very , very , very nice . I love the paint and finish . Great job !
  7. Chuck , It turned out pretty cool ! Even people who think it is strange like it ! I like the gauges hanging under the dash . BOB .
  8. That's not a bad looking kit , and your results are excellent ! The paint looks perfect .
  9. Here's some more pictures . I had a Jimmy Flintstone body , but really didn't care for it , so I built my own . The roof was made using pieces from a second 300 kit and a Plymouth kit . Other than the hood , the only modification I made was to the front bumper . A little grinding got rid of the 5 mph look ! The engine from the Revell Hemi 'cuda fit nicely . Only a little mod to the upper control arms to make room for the exhaust . Also a little creative grinding to get the hood to close . The rest of the car is box stock except for a scratch built exhaust . I used the wheels and tires from the 'cuda . Also the steering wheel and pistol grip shifter . There are a couple of things I'd like to change but I think I'll wait a while . Any suggestions are welcome . Thanks for looking . BOB .
  10. Here's what I found this morning in my local Walgreens . A '29 Model A diecast for $5.99 ! It's 1/24 scale too !

  14. Dave, Turned out really sweet ! I'm also hooked on Wagons . I say hood pins on all 4 corners . It looks a little plain without them . BOB .
  15. Yeah , that's cool ! Those are neat little kits . Have you looked at the Cartoon Cars Contest ?
  16. I finished this morning and wanted to get a couple pictures posted . It took less than two months which is a record for me , I build slow ! Anyway , it's not perfect and I'd like to change a couple of things , but it's good for now . If you see anything that I could do , please tell me . I plan on reworking it in the future . As soon as I get some decent pictures I'll post it on " Under Glass " . Thanks. BOB .
