  1. How about an obscure TV character? You guys ever hear of Ernest P. Worrell? He was a character invented by Jim Varney. There were several movies that were pretty much made for TV that the character starred in....... It was good, clean humor, and as a teen I had a similar sense of humor..... Silly but with a straight face! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_P._Worrell
  2. Not complaining, but someone needs to end a sentence with something way out of left field, like zizzibalooba......
  3. Yep, the hero car from the movie The Wraith! It had a twin-turbo four cylinder that was mounted midship (sidewinder-style, if I remember right) that would alllllllllmost reach 200mph.....
  4. I believe that the release I have here is an older issue....... It's molded in red mostly, and has a 4-banger engine along with the V8..... A paper copy of the instructions would be cool, as my computer is in another room from where I build.
  5. Thanks, John! I do believe that your link is the same basic kit........
  6. Hello, Hello! Guys, I have kind of a rebuilder lot here of Monogram woody/pickup parts...... I believe I have all the parts to build a hot rod companion to the stock one that I'm working on. Would anyone have the instructions for this kit, so I can both check the parts and see how to assemble the thing? It's the old 1/24 kit............ If so, just send me a PM or something! Thanks for reading............
  7. Geezer status comes when you wake up one day and realize you're not eighty anymore.........
  8. Yep, somebody has got their painting technique down to a science!
  9. Bill, as much as I would liked to have seen one of those, I believe that this was what flew over the other day....... Your mentioning Beechcraft was right-on, as that's how I found this pic!
  10. The M6 BMW kits are a real bear, too! Luckily, Tamiya makes one also.............
  11. Living about a mile from the local small-plane airfield pleases me quite often...... On nice days (like we've had for the past few) I get to see at least a couple/three planes fly over. The latest 'cool' plane to make it's way over was a mid-sized personal plane, about the size of a Lear jet, but it had two prop engines, and long thin wings with vertical stabilizers on each end...... Not sure what it was, it looked different from the usual Cessna-type planes we usually see.
  12. Hey, guys! Some more progress......... I decided to just paint the panels solid. I don't think I'm gonna be able to get the doors to operate, the pins that the hinges swing on are just too delicate. One door is in place in the pic...... The wrought iron straps on the tailgate have been painted too..... I can pretty much begin final assembly soon! Thanks for letting me share my progress, guys, I hope you enjoy..........
  13. Had a bunch of hail come through right before a bit of a shower......... Pea sized, and a lot of it! We haven't had hail here since the last time! (LoL)
  14. Dirty hands are a small price to pay for that awesome tomato on whitebread sandwich with a lot of mayo and pepper.........
  15. Fast thinking won't get you anywhere in a race with a turtle...........
  16. There was an SNL character called Ed Grimley...... He was played by Martin Short. The character was featured in a cartoon, voiced by Short...... One of my Favorite characters, I believe I've seen all 13 episodes of the cartoon. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Completely_Mental_Misadventures_of_Ed_Grimley
  17. Bill, my friend, you need to try this ham for your sammiches! It tastes just like a sliced Xmas ham...... This is where I get it from, but I'm sure other stores carry it! https://foodlion.com/product/fricks-hickory-sliced-ham-boneless-16-oz-pkg/353856
  18. Again someone is going to have to start a sentence with the word 'again'...........
  19. They are really good folks to order from......... Been getting kits there for a while now.......
  20. This is such a great build........ You've put into plastic what we've been failing to put into words, how much he will be missed and how he will live on in memory!
  21. Thank You, John! I'm still unsure about the panels...... The decals for that part are too pink looking to go with the rest of the car. They need something, though......
  22. I put a bit of a wash over the lighter color.......... I think this looks much better!
  23. We have more progress! I've been working on the wooden panels some, and wanted to get you guys' opinion...... They need touching up and a coat of matte clear still. Like I said, some touching up is in order......... They look a lot better in person! What can I do to these pieces to make it look more like real wood? There's what looks like rivets molded in too....... Should I pick those out with a wash or something? Finally, more interior work........ The back of the front seat attaches to the inside of the two walls of the truck's body, so that will be added later...... Anywhooooo..... That's what I've gotten done since last time. Thanks!
  24. One way is, you could sign up for the Model Roundup newsletter! Every month they will send you an email with what's new, and what they will be getting in that month.........
