  1. Built box stock with the addition of #41 decals from Mikes Decals...
  2. Super job on this one Ian. The chassis is identical to my Lumina build with the Dave Marcis #41 I'm just about to finish. (Kellogs Corn Flakes)
  3. Right I've got the new sheet of decals. But....it only has the Kellogs markings and numbers and no side multiple sponsor markings, so I'm cutting those out of other decals to complete the look! I have the GoodYear tyre decals but can only be added to the rear of the tyres (as per the instructions) as the front face has the moulded logo's. OR of course cut the ridge out of the inside of the tyres to have the smooth side shown outwards and add the decals!
  4. Superb looking pair of 911's. I like both, but the Minilite type wheels on the yellow version look particularly good, well done!

I built my first Rat Rod, Chassis etc recently. I had a front end but wanted it lower/stronger rear section to take the scratch rear axle. Keep going to what you think it should look like. I Google search for images of Rat Rod chassis, bodies, suspension etc. to see what I would like to fit to it.
  6. Fantastic build John well done!
  7. Amazing build, well done. Amazing Italian styling and performance! Superb real sportscar.
  8. Thanks Donald, it's nice to know I've done it right!
  9. Good to see, as I'm building one of these right now and Mike's Decals are sending me a new sheet for #41!
  10. Thanks Ed for your input and photo. It looks very good indeed.
  11. Thanks guys, very much.
  12. Thanks guys, one of just a few Nascars I have.
  13. Built box stock, just needed a new set of decals from Jim Heller. Of the original set I salvaged the white Zerex decal for the back. I like the tools included where I used some of the old kit decals.
  14. Superb, one of my favourite kits too, well done Sixties Sam!
  15. Great job so far! Well done, I look forward to the rest of the build.
  16. Fantastic build of a true British Sports Saloon car, converted to a racer from day one by the John Cooper works.
  17. Superb colours and decals!
  18. Superb decaling well done!
  19. Interesting car, seen them race, whose buying and building one then?
  20. Thanks guys.
  21. Cheers Chris. This was built from broken bits ( 3 bits of body and 2 bits of chassis) in the 'already started' box/kit when I bought it, after finishing this one. Finding some BBS rims/tyres in the spares lowers the car from a standard 15" to 13" rims.
  22. Superb take on the Aluma, it comes together nicely with the different parts and graphics, well done!
  23. Thanks for your story Tom. Coming home to a model shop full of kits must be amazing! We don't have many shops like that anymore here in the UK. It can be a difficult kit to build because of having to leave the rear bumper body work to the last minute and trying to stretch the sides to get the body over the edge of the chassis and then stretching it again to get the engine cover and rear lid hinges into place, very tense for both the kit and the builder. But I have one of the new releases being delivered today anyway!
  24. Thanks Dann, yes a popular car here since the 70's. The first mid-engined Porsche, but because it was mainly Beetle parts, the factory named it the 'VW-Porsche 914' the sales were dismal although when you see a Porsche Owners Club meeting there are stacks of them and Porsche 911 owners gravitate towards them!
