  1. And here's a '62 GTO (f'glass body on a Datsun 240Z) with a twin-turbo big-block setup.
  2. You want to get really angry, click here. https://www.google.com/search?q=abused+animals&safe=off&espv=2&biw=1600&bih=775&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjJzPDKxtTMAhXCqh4KHXSDD3YQ_AUIBigB#imgrc=_ What's wrong with people?
  3. There's a Chebby big-block powered 288 GTO that ran 275 MPH at Bonneville too...
  4. From my admittedly limited experience with reworking diecast models, I'd advise extreme caution far as trying to bend the stuff goes. It's similar to the potmetal a lot of old-car cast chrome trim is made of (with which I have rather a lot of experience) and it doesn't bend very far before snapping...especially if it's already been bent in one direction and you're trying to bend it back. There's also a significant variation in the composition of the metal from different manufacturers, and even differences from time periods from the same company. Some of it is so brittle it's impossible to bend at all without cracking or shattering.
  5. Also a company out of Dallas, Texas (John's Cars) that made the swap kits for Jag XJ-series cars first, I believe. I put a GM 700R4 trans in my personal XJ-6 using one of their kits...which was OK, but I didn't really care for a lot of the engineering details.
  6. Funny you mention that. I'm about halfway through a 302 Chebby-powered Ferrari 250 GTO based on the Gunze curbside kit, with the '69 Z-28 crossram engine and a Ford 9" rear end. I've personally put 1:1 Ford 289 engines in an E-type and a 240Z, and a 302 in a Triumph Stag. Also put a 327 Chebby in a Healey 3000 and several smallblock Chebbys of various descriptions in Stags. And one Dodge Red Ram Hemi in a Lusso.
  7. One o' these... Couple these... And a couple more sets of Herb Deeks PE wire-wheel conversion kits...one of which will go under the Ferrari.
  8. Had to back-trace her, and even that wasn't as straightforward as usual. Very pretty girl, and I much prefer this look for her over the more familiar one.
  9. Rook much rike Minirites...but onry 4-bort hub...
  10. It's not cheating unless you DO post the answer and pretend you didn't reverse-image search it.
  11. I'm somewhat aware of all of the 'surface' problems and issues, but last time I checked, the Catholic Church didn't appear to be tottering on the verge of bankruptcy. The thing is, 50 years ago, it was entirely possible to get a decent primary education pretty easily. In this supposedly so much 'better' computer-controlled, connected and app-dependent time, it's becoming impossible. Yes, there are difficulties. There have ALWAYS been difficulties. And a reasonably intelligent society should be able to deal with them as effectively as they did half a century ago. The key words here are "reasonably intelligent".
  12. So, looks like you're fcrewed no matter where you try to get a primary education. There just isn't one to be had from most public schools anymore, and the parochial schools are apparently bleeding the parents white, one little paper cut at a time. Like I keep sayin', something is VERY wrong with jus' 'bout everythin' these days.
  13. Yoley moley. Talk about a collection of styling click-cheese...
  14. WONDERFUL! I love all things aviation from this period, and Porco Rosso is one of my favorite films. Most excellent sir. The Supermarine S6B was another notable racing plane of the time, won the Schneider Trophy, and, designed by Reggie Mitchell, was the forerunner of the WW II Spitfire in many ways. And here's the Porco Rosso trailer (sorry it's not in English)
  15. Very nice. The wide-5 wheels are another rarely seen and unusual touch.
  16. Did the wings flutter and come off in flight unexpectedly? If I recall correctly, that was one of the Electra's endearing features.
  17. Couple times I've seen several people in it, I've logged on...only to hear the crickets chirping and watch the others log off. I guess my virtual feet stink.
  18. Friend of mine rescued a cat that he found wandering around dazed and scared after someone had poured glue all over it. I've seen a lot worse. I swear, if I caught someone mistreating an animal like that, they'd never find the body. But the SOB would learn a little of what it feels like before he died. The really awful part is that people do it to children too.
  19. Nice! Like the choice of colors and detail bits too.
