  1. For me I rarely have a choice. Most of the kits I build anymore were curbside only back then ( late 50s - early60s annuals ) Otherwise. It comes down to how much time I want to put into a build that's never going to be judged, or rarely even seen my anyone but me family and a few close friends.
  2. So speaks the king of interiors , IMO
  3. Not relevant to the topic. But I see your in Glendale AZ. I will be in Glendale in about 10 days . Wife has a seminar there for 2 days for work on the 24-25th. We are staying across the street from University of Phoenix Stadium . From Monday afternoon the 23rd Then we fly back out EARLY Friday morning the 27th. Any recommendations for eats or night life near there? Not likely we'll venture to far ,,,,, Or spend a small fortune either. But we're open to ideas of most any kind. ( We'll actually get into town early Saturday morning on the 21st . But we're going to Tuscon the 21st thru late afternoon on the 23rd visiting family. . )
  4. Did a test fit. This will do EXACTLY what I need it to do
  5. THIS is the 1965 Plymouth Ive been waiting for. FINALLY,,,,, An accurate 1965 Plymouth A990 car. I'll stop in my local LHS and order a case of them the 1st of the week . REALLY looking forward to see what decals the aftermarket does for this kit. ( I ve already got the decals to do the Chuck Ostrich car )
  6. I like it. Just picked up a couple of these for myself. Plan is get on them asap
  7. Does the Hemi Dart kit still have the backseat in it like the stock version does ? I haven't looked in one of these kits in a while and my memory isn't what it used to be
  8. I picked up a couple yesterday. With my current plans for these, I'll need at least 2 more. So far my initial impression it looks pretty good. Also,,,,,Is my mind playing tricks or did they tone the door scallops down a touch from the 68-69 body? ( I may need to pull an earlier body to compare them for myself )
  9. While out yesterday running errands . I picked up a few cans of paint. And while there I just had to grab a couple of the New 1970 Charger kits.
  10. Back when, the spice girls used a 1969 Charger Daytona in one of there videos
  11. About a month ago. We bought the wife our 1st new car in over 10 years. A dealer demo 2016 Chrysler 200S . Paid right at half what the original new car sticker price was. Its fun to drive, rides REALLY nice and extremely quite . And even with the 2.4 and 9 speed auto it has plenty of pickup for us both ( it has the paddle shifters but I haven't used them yet ) I even get to drive it on a regular basis .
  12. Someone I know formally connected with the former MPC told me the tooling for the 1971 Roadrunner was damaged beyond repair
  13. I have a spare we might be able to work out something. I 'might ' even have a spare interior tub Its actually the body from the Stardust funnycar where the hood is molded shut - AKA promo style
  14. We think alike as far as inspiration. I know the owner of the white 1/1 quite well. and had been looking to replicate his car for some time. So when I found this I knew exactly what it would look like when I dug into it
  15. One and only issue Johan 1970 GTX builtup. Been after one of these for some time. I now have builders of all 5 original issues of the cartoon box Johan Plymouth kits from 1969 + 1970
  16. Ps, mind if I ask why your going with such a high back seat. The actual car had a low back seat like the kit has
  17. I was in our local Ollies end of last week. They had maybe a dozen of the Cosmic Chargers for $7.99 . I though about grabbing one or two. But my experience was not good with the one I started on last fall.
  18. Is it just me, or have the major players gotten quite tight lipped on new releases ?
  19. Ok, your over there in the corner. The farthest eastern part of AZ we've been is we visited Bigsbee a few years back . . Thats an interesting little town
  20. My one and only dealings with them was via Ebay. It went perfect. . Although it was maybe 10 years ago or more????. ( my memory isn't what it used to be ) But Ive heard dozens of stories and NONE had a good ending for the buyer
  21. VERY nice.
  22. The actual car and the model of said car. Actually both the model and the car itself were painted with the exact same paint. The real car is out in the sunlight. The model is indoors under artificial light.
  23. VHT Engine Enamels, Paint, High-Temperature, Engine, Enamel, Gloss, Early Chrysler Blue, I use this for 1968 and earlier Mopar builds . Its closer to green than it is blue. To be honest. I use regular engine paint on all my model builds. Ive got numerous cans on hand .
  24. Dupli-Color DE1631 Ceramic Chrysler Corp. Blue Engine Paint -
