  1. If im going to the trouble to add ignition wires...it takes absolutly no longer to wire it in the proper order...so why not
  2. I know the shop that built this one. Its another one that you could ck out for hours on end and constantly find things , innovative tricks etc that were done to it. I believe it was a top 5 finalist this year for the street rod of the year .
  3. I've seen this car in person, and I must say it is incredible no matter how much you look at it.
  4. I have a set mounted on the Rallye wheels out of the Revell 1970 Cuda kit. Fits perfect. Going on a Johan Superbird build I have going Nice part about them , is one side of the tire has the tire size in a white letter, the other side doesn't
  5. About any Revell kit of the late 60s to early 70s. So much I actually avoided buying them back then.
  6. LINDBERG - LND-222 - 1/25 Owens Outboard Cruiser Boat - $29.99 Anyone know anything about this one, style , length etc
  7. now that would be wayyyyy up my want list
  8. SWEEEEEEEEET, Just got the notice I won. A factory sealed Johan 1964 Cadillac convertible kit .
  9. Same here. Once I made my list it was easily over 1K , for parts and a couple Modelhaus exclusive kits . This was on top of the several thousands I've spent the past 18-24 months on the kits themselves. And I decided ,,,, "naw better not " Besides most of it was just small parts, lenses, hubcaps , steering wheels, etc, etc Thus I deleted my list altogether. None of the cars I 'need' parts for were real high on my 'to do' list . Most are actually after retirement builds ( about 10 years from now ) I have time, and have decided to just keep an eye out for original parts , even if it means buying a complete builder . I'll keep what I need and sell / trade / part out the remains . I wish the Holthaus family a long and peaceful and well deserved retirement .
  10. Outstanding work. I like this one a lot . the stance, color, interior, all of it . It just looks RIGHT
  11. I have a copout duster and a johan 68 Fury kit. I have no use for any of the pilice car stuff.
  12. I restore classic muscle cars for a living. When I provide an estimate I PLAN for add ons and/or hidden issues. Its part of the process. Its just the nature of the beast.. Any one who doesn't is doomed for issues at a later date. In regards to being pizzed off if someone else claims fame to my work, Then yes I would be quite upset and would have no issues telling the world as such. But in regards to my customer sold it and made money on it , I could care less. Its history and I've moved on to the next one
  13. I got your point. All to well. But the fact that a retailer is selling there product at there own full blown retail does not give them or anyone else ANY say as to what said customer has planed for said product ( that they paid for with there own money ) in any way shape or form. Makes no difference whether said retailer actually produces said item or simply bought it at wholesale is irrelevant The fact YOU have a problem with anyone possibly making a profit off of said time is irrelevant . And I have my doubts Modelhaus didn't at least suspect they would get a last minute rush on product when they were talking retirement amongest themselves around the dinner table . I would go so far as to suggest they even planned for said rush , at least to some degree. The fact they are no longer accepting orders nearly a full year ahead of said retirement ,,,, IMO points towards that exact scenario.
  14. Selling a product at your own suggested full blown retail price is a much different scenario than giving something away for free to someone under the assumption they were to build it are 2 VERY different things . Its not like Modelhaus is giving anything away for free. They are getting THEIR price that THEY decided on well in advance. So I have my doubts they will give it any thoughts or even care as to what the paying customer has planned for said purchase. In case anyone is wondering , NO I did not put in a final order or do I have a backorder with them on file with Modelhaus. Actually the last time I ordered from them at all was nearly 10 years ago. But that's not going to stop me from buying there former product when/ or if it pops up for sale if I need it at the time. A few years ago I put my 1970 Challenger 340 up for sale. I got nearly 30k for the car, which was pretty good money at the time. A few years later a dealer had it at the big Cruze auction in AZ. The car sold for over double what I got out if it . I had no I'll feelings or even gave a snot. I was happy with the sale price I received for it and the fact he made money on it was irrelevant to me .
  15. 99.999999% of any / everything produced is for resale - makes no difference who made it or who is selling it. Modelhaus is / was no different. They created ,,,or commissioned others to create said items ...... to resell. Someone buying Modelhaus items ,,be it singularly or multiple items is Absolutly NO different than ........... ( fill in the blank with your preferred retailer) buying one or a thousand pieces of inventory to resell If someone in this world desires to buy said product from Modelhaus strictly to resell at a later date. More power to them . I for one am BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH glad we live in a world we can do ' exactly that ' .
  16. Steve The more i think about it. I think your correct. we are in AZ this week on vacation so i cant just run down stairs and ck the stash

  24. what do you use to glue it in place ? Just an FYI, but I'm not 100% positive ( not completely familiar with the early 60s full size mopar body styles. But I think the well liner was a flexible black vinyl.
