  1. I was wondering if Round 2 would re-issue this car. And will buy a few for the stash .. Just because Unfortunately I have an original issue and this will knock the originals value down considerably
  2. I was thinkiing it was either a 63 or 64 Oldsmobile. IMO< the trailer is worth the price. I would tell hm to just drop the car in the trash
  3. I have an MCW 65 Plymouth AFX car I also have the same from Speed City Resin, The Speed City Resin car is heads above the MCW kit quality wise . Dont get me wrong its not bad and very buildable ,,,,, but not Modelhaus quality . On the other end of the spectrum I have a R+R 65 Dodge AFX that I doubt I'll ever use
  4. I present proof. http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-BUILT-PARTS-JUNKYARD-LOT-OF-MODEL-CAR-Trailer/131651077154?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3De949b3f82bd34671a8b86431165d9bdb%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D131650396882
  5. Love it. Sad part is you can find a distressed promo cheaper than you can typically buy a built-up 1968 Olds 442 . That's one car that brings good money built or unbuilt. Myself I have been casually looking for one to do just this .
  6. Steve, Thanks but this one actually had the skirts on it and I took them off..... Just not a fan of a car with fender skirts . Was looking around today to get ideas of color combinations .and I was actually thinking of putting wire wheels on it
  7. One I have been after for a while. Got it for what I think is a decent deal ( about $80 ) considering what I've seen them sell for A 1958 Buick convertible. builtup. Still in all unpainted bare white plastic . But it did have some of the custom stuff glued on . Gladly it all popped right back off with minimul effort and only minor repairs needed . Its a good day . Now I just need a 58 Impala and an Edsel to round all the original 58 annuals
  8. Most excellant . Now to find a few more . I Need another set for the 59 Ford Thunderbird builtup I have plus several more builtups I want to build stock thanks again
  9. Harry, I know you work with larger scale media, But WOW,,,,,,its definitly top shelf quality . I see your stuff and it almost looks real . Impressive is an understatement
  10. Thats about half what they typically sell for And the 64 is nearly the exact same quality level
  11. ALL big block Mopar engines the oil filter is on the drivers side , Including the 426 Hemi
  12. I picked up a real clean builtup 68 C10 last summer off ebay . Best I can remember I think it was less than $50 postage included .........you just have to be patiant
  13. See the pics please. I had some of these and recently bought some more in hopes to complete some old annuals I have Thanks in advance
  14. The astre is Vega based . I know there was a J2000 ( its pro street ) ,,but cant answer on the kit of a T1000
  15. Being a Mopar guy I will add my 2 cents here, 1st how do you know its the first one made. ? I am going off of memory but I think the 1st one was silver with blue accents What condition is it in ? how many miles ? I assume its not a turbo car as I dont think turbo cars appeared till about 1984 or 85 Rusty ? ck the bottom of the car extremly well as they are known for floorboard rust issues . Are all the special body parts included ( spoilers flares etc etc )
  16. I kinda like it. Are the wheels Pegasus Hellas ,Its my understanding all 4 wheel and tires in the pkg are the same size ,,,is that correct ?
  17. Tim, I did my best to modify your picture showing the issues I see. 1st is the area marked A , you can see the forward edge of the roof where it transissitions into the top edge of the glass is my biggest pet peave and in this view is quite obvious . It should actually roll down ever so slihgtly into the top of the windshield, instead in this pic it appears to continue on flat making it look like it has a fat upper lip. ( look at a Johan 63 Plymouth sedan kit and it becomes really obvious ) On the lower windshield area ( B ) it appears to curl down in the top of the cowl , where it shoudl continue pretty much flat around the entire perimeter of the lower moulding. ( this may be trickery on the eye due to the picture ) C - is where I feel the vent wing frame leans back to far . IMO, the top of the moulding should be brought forward and the lower extended rearward ever so slighly.( the yellow line in my picture ) This I feel could be easily resolved by any competent modeler,,,,BUT I dont feel we should have to on an in production modern tool piece. I haven't bought a 65 Satellite kit yet,,,,based entirely on picttures I've seen online . And based on this picture alone I will not be purchasing the sedan either. Also,in regards to the lower windshield to cowl area, I feel the LIndberg 64 Dodge is more accurate than the Johan body. ( I just pulled out an unbuilt body I have of each to ck ) Again this is nothing more than one mans opinion , aka MINE
  18. Tim, In a the side pic in your own review the look of the front leading edge of the roof is wrong, http://images12.fotki.com/v539/photos/6/998986/13838380/DSC_0335-vi.jpg you can even see it in this build thread Sorry, but I have been around Mopars my entire adult life and will go on record the roof of the kit is not right and will hurt the sales of said kit. Based on what I see so far, I'll buy a speed city resin of the car to build instead .
  19. WOW, the mans body isnt even cold yet and some cant wait to piss on his grave. I am sorry but this isnt the time or the place to desigrate the mans name I"m not a big fan of him or most of his work . Sure ,, maybe he wasnt a saint ( who is ) But he was a major player in the scene back froma time when most of us were just kids playing with toys. He was playing with the big stuff and making a huge name for himself And as a far as I know the person who gets credit is usually the one paying the bills, ( then and now ) My condolences to the Barris family.
  20. I dont think I can pin it down to one single year. But it would be somewhere between 1958 and 1961
  21. Today was the 1st time I have been in a hobby shop in some time. Picked up a 57 Del Rio wagon. and an AMT 1956 Ford victoria . These are the 1st modern tooled kits I've bought in nearly 2 years ( been buying up old annuals )
  22. a most different , yet very interesting subject. I like it
  23. the Borsch altered has some breathers that are very close to those,,but the valve covers in it are for a 392 Hemi , not a 426
  24. I dont do contests but IMO clean and neat is 1st and formost. 2nd would be accuracy in both the subject at hand as well as scale . As an example Mopar underhoods were body color,,,I've seen numerous replica stock builds where the engine compartment was black,,which is only correct if the exterior of the car is black And no Mopar ever had orange heater hoses .
