  3. Although I am not buying at the rate I was a few years ago...but with somewhere in the 350-400 kit range stash ......I guess I need to get busy.
  4. Steve, Believe me, I thought about that. And I try my best to avoid the builds with all the custom stuff glued on. BUT,,,, I also look at whats under there . If its just a thin mldg like these cars had. Then I dont worry about it to much. On a 1959 Mercury Parklane or Ford Galaxie as an example it becomes a completely different animal. Seems like finding them without the goofy stuff added on is tough . Then I weigh the options of how much I am willing to accept at a particular price point. Before bidding on it I looked at pics of the 1/1 cars I have a feeling its not going to be a big deal ,,,,at least I hope so .Either way at the price point I think I'll be ok.
  5. Just picked up a decent builtup 1960 Buick convertible. with its original box and instructions. All for the grand total of $35 I think ( hope ) all the custom stuff will come up without to much grief
  6. If you want to do the Bucky Hess car in either paint treatment. I am definitly in. Based on how succesful this car has been over the years,,,,,I'm suprised no one has ever done it before
  7. I 'm not familiar with the Firebird kit in question. But something to keep in mind if its a kit based on an old annual ,,,, the chassis rests against the interior floorpan. and the interior tub rests against the glass , so make sure the glass is in when doing your mockup
  8. Corect, The only one that got the silver panel argent panel is the SE equipped cars wih could be a base model SE or an RT/SE ( the silver is actully a seperate piece ) All the TA's got the black paint to coincide with the black rear spoiler MOST RTs were body color ,,,but I am pretty sure some received the black paint treatment ( unless it was an SE )
  9. So cool . And I would be in . Heres some insperation for ya. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=157692
  10. This is some cheap rattle can stuff I had laying around...I think it came from true value
  11. Waiting patiently for the 1959 Dodge ...hopefully it has the interior. But if it doesn't I will still buy a few

  13. Body color on everything EXCEPT. Challenger T/A which is black Challengers with the Se option have a Argent silver finish panel above the taillights. Ps. Some challenger RT cars will be black as well.
  14. Thats friggen awsome
  15. I love the big cars of the past. This is the only Buick I have. Bought just as shown. Its in the to do pile,,,,,,but probably be a this winter project . I've been looking for a 58 and a 60,,,I just havent been able to get one in my budget range .
  16. The more thats in the box,,the more I am willing to pay for it,,,,,, as opposed to a whole seperate kit where the only difference is decals or wheels / tires .
  17. Sweet, As usual the color combo picked was dead on
  18. I've got plenty of the barracudas....but the vega if it's correct. I'll buy a a couple of it and the flying wedge. The firetruck thing is plain ugly. ....so no thanks

  20. I had heard of the hypodermic needle idea before ( they are made in various sizes,,, the higher number being the smallest size needle ) On the few I've done I just used guitar string as it is pretty stiff and doesnt bend of bumped . And a piece of wire wrapped around a drill bit to make a base
  21. I think the Johan 68 Fury kit has a bench seat that could be made to replicate the 67 seat as well. I dont have one on hand to ck . But I just bought one but its not here yet
  22. same with mine. Stock and custom. No drag parts . I do have some of the Johan funnycar chassis though from leftover builtups
  23. Nice. Just one problem The Hemi Darts did not have power brakes or a windshield washer reservoir.
