  1. Mike, Thanks for the note. And glad your happy with it. I kept thinking I needed to keep it,,,,,,,but I bought a REALLY nice builtup with its original box off ebay last year or so and decided this one need to go away. I also have 2 Mr Norms Chargers ( one is much better than the other ) and a decent Warlord Camaro builtup as well in case you know anyone interested And thanks again, Bill
  2. Meaning it they're not at least 30 or 40 years old....they go in the trash can. I dont throw enough away as it is ,,and keeping semi recent boxes and/or instruction sheets is just not possibile for me .
  3. Ditto, Anymore only something fresh / new will open my wallet .
  4. Just like most of the boxes....in the circular file they go
  5. I work for myself , Auto mechanic,,specializing in older cars
  6. As far as I know...the 1969 barracuda annual never had a hemi. I have had several different re.issue vereions and they were always a wedge motor
  7. I like it. And same here. ....been looking for one myself
  8. Since the board change I cant delete private messges After some digging I think I can clean out my PM box, but it deletes them all and I dont want to do that any advise ?
  9. I wouldnt call them a waste of stryene,,,but I have zero interest in any of them
  10. I for one cant imagine producing a product thats already / currently avail by your competition on the market being profitable. But then again, I have ZERO interest in said product line so my opinion is probably moot point anyway
  11. Awsome work. But I have to ask,,,how do you go about measuring or even knowing where to make you chassis cuts . Such as to know where and at what angle to make the rear section kickups as an example.
  12. Thats it,, Its now official ,,,,,,,,,,,,you are the certified master of the interior. Can I send all the interior tubs to all my builds to you for to apply your craftsman ship to ......
  13. After a small tour around the country courtesy of the USPS . I can scratch another one off my want list. ,,,,,,,,A 1961 Ford Sunliner builder. This one completes my wants for the 1958 thru 1961 Ford convertibles
  14. Same trouble here, been happening since the board change.
  15. This what I am thinking about doing. I havn't been to to Toledo in several years so this year might be the one
  16. I have the intake, carbs and I think just one air cleaner . I would loan it to someone to make a copy ,,,but I want it back ( going in a Johan 1960 New Yorker builder I have )
  17. Agreed, I want the 65 Comet more so than anything mentioned in the past 2 years. And I am a Mopar guy and still havn't bought a 65 Satellite yet ( but I plan to soon,,) I WILL get a 57 Del Rio wagon and probably a 61 Pontiac . But the Comet is right at the top of my want list for new releases
  18. Like mentioned a simple coat of a semi gloss black ,,,,,,or bare primer. Then just some slight detail work with contrasting colors
  19. I've been asked several times over the years. I simply tell them to figure somewhere in the $150 range and up to build a nice shelf piece they would be proud of and they usually drop it after that. The last 2 kits I've actually finished I gave away to the owners of the actual cars they replicated. For free. BOTH were floored beyond belief.
  20. An A990 is /was a Sedan only. Imo...would be a better seller than the 2 door hardtop
  21. Thing is,,,, at one time ,the original issue of this kit brought huge money. So IMO a collector will want the original issue and only the original issue. So chances are thats the only way it would sell for anything close to $129. This one and the Pontiac club-de-mer were highly sought after by collectors. I've got a couple of the re-issues from a few years ago ( sorry not for sale at this time )
  22. Very nice build. This is one kit on my very short list to do ..probably be this winter. I plan to do it in the original ice blue
  23. Mopar had there ' recomended ' color combinations. But it didnt take a whole lot of pursuasion to get most any color combo. I know of a 1970 Challenger thats sand pebble beige ( a 'very' light tan ) it has a red painted roof and a red interior
  24. I am watching that kit on ebay,,and its already over $100 ,,,WAYYYYYYY to rich for my pocket
  25. Not sure I follow. This kit shares nothing in common with the original issue MPC 1970 Challenger kit annual ,,,and no the body is not the same . As a side note,,,,, the body in the Soapy Sales kit is not the same as the one in the Original Color Me Gone kit either
