Detailed painting question

A good magnifier and lighting. Then lightly dry brush it. Or foil it and a new blade in the xacto knife. -

1970 Dodge Charger R/T?
gtx6970 replied to Mr. Moparman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
1966 has a full console that runs between the ft seats all the way to the front edge of the back seat,,,,1967 it stops right even with the back edge of the ft seats 1966 has turn signal indicators at the very ft of the upper body line mouldings,, 1967 is just the moulding ( no lights ) Externally the door is the exact same shell.only the 1970 RTs have the door scoop added . I would really like to see a all new 1970 kit. But for me make the door scoops a glue on piece -

O.M.G. That looks amazing. Many years ago I read to use the plastic screen ,material to replicate something like this . the story was you mask off the main porstions you dont want painted. spray the screenmareril till its just damp. . Lay it on the area you want to paint, and using light dust coats spray it to the color you want the final result to be. Once dry just lift the screen material off and vioala,,, a checker board pattern emerges. Thats what I plan to do when I build this -
Hendrix Mfg. -- Recommendations..?
gtx6970 replied to Ramfins59's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Not to be a negative nelly. But at the price point of a quality resin kit. For me personally. I would look for an original builtup kit. Isnt the Modelhaus kit nearly $100 ? They're not that hard to find . and the few I've watched sell on Ebay sold in the $75 range The only Hendrix kit I have is the service truck body and it looks pretty good to me -
MPC Soapy Sales Challenger Funny car ......
gtx6970 replied to Mr mopar's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Ouch. I've got an original. Luckily I'm in it pretty reasonable. When the challenger funnycar kit came out a few years ago. I wondered if they would change it to reflect either this kit or the Color Me Gone car. Good to have it back either way . -
I dont the fit is the problem. IMO, the backup light is far to low on the kit compared to a 1/1

the only engine is 1965 to get the chrome air cleaner and valve covers was a 426 wedge with a single 4 barrel carb. ( excluding hemi ) I am about 99 % sure the 383 was engine color valve covers and black air cleaner

no way thats a 1970. The notch in the fender pointed out is for either a 1968 or 1969 -
Model kit subject builders block
gtx6970 replied to ERIK88's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I am similar but different . If its Mopar , I'l build it. Ford is a maybe, probably ,,,,,,chevrolet is doubtful unless its an old drag car. Or ,,,,,,something that really catches my eye Actually I think the only GM builds I have to be replica stock are some old 1958-60 annuals . But summertime is tough for me to get bench time . As I do most of my modeling during winter months ,and for the most parts I look for old annuals to fill the need during warmer weather months -
agreed

gtx6970 replied to 5.0man's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Agreed, I'm really surprised no one has done this yet. I guess the Interior is the holdback Same goes for a 58 Chrysler 300 for the 57 kit -
