  1. Same here. Ive had lots of issues with older decal sheets cracking trying to remove them from the carrier sheet Especially Slixx and Fred Cady sheets. That said ,, some of my sheets are maybe 10-15 years old now ( I better get busy me thinks )
  2. I have a Strickler Dodge back on the bench. I started on right after it came out but put it away due to paint issues . Its time to push on and get it done BUT, Ive not built one of these and am curious how to glue the front and rear glass in without making a huge mess So Im all ears how YOU did it
  3. Thanks for the info I have A BUNCH of the hemi parts from numerous AMT B body kits Ive parted out . so good odds Im good. At least I hope so
  4. I'm my digging into it. They ran 3 cars This 440 4spd car. An actual RO hemi 4spd These 2 was generally hired drivers Ronnie may have driven either or both from time to time And a 3rd Belvedere . Not an ro car. But it was hemi amd 4spd. That is the car Ronnie himself was the regular Driver
  5. And just for grins , I detailed an old helmet to replicate the one Ronnie Sox wore when this car was active
  6. My best interpretation of what I feel was either a promo / clinic use show car that eventually became a SS/E 440 4spd car. It's the only one I'm aware of that had white bucket seat interior out of at least 3 known of the body style. Theres not a whole lot of info or photos of this particular car . So some liberties had to be taken. That said. I really REALLY like this one. A lot. All Tamiya colors with Dupli color 1k clear . And Dupli color rattle can pearl white for the interior. Im typically an out of the box builder. But this one got Lots of aftermarket details goodies... AMT parts pack blue streak rear tires, front redlines from the MPC 1968 Coronet The RB engine from the Revell Dart with headers modified from the hemi to fit Dana rear axle from the 68 Charger kit Pre wired dist and wire looms from Morgan Automotive detail An amazing 3d printed AFB from Joseph at Fireball Model works Unfortunately, this was an older Revell versions,, And the decals silvered when I laid clear over them. But it it what it is and I'll live with it And yes, the headers are not connected to the stock exhaust is intentional. The SS cars back then were required to have the stock system in place Also, in just about every picture I can find of this car. There is no hood mldg, Thus. None on the kit build either. Thanks for looking. And as usual. Comments / Critiques more than welcome.
  7. Done Headed to Under Glass I'll get some finished pictures tomorrow Thanks all for comments and following along
  8. You have my attention. I've not built any of these Mobieus kits yet But have one each Dodge Plymouth AFX cars for up real soon
  9. Are the interior's the same ? meaning the plain RO style door panels Or is the Belv kit using the interior panels from the Satellite Looks like the Belv kit has the hemi valve covers on the chrome tree so I might could use left over AMT heads and intakes on the Belv kit shortblock
  10. I might could see the Shelby in my list. But none of the rest does much for me
  11. I have the Butch Leal kit already I want the 65 sedan body kit WITH the hemi. The Belvedere kit has a max wedge drivetrain
  12. I have both of these kits, BUT only one each I have more than enough kits to keep me occupied for quite a while for when and/or if the A990 car resurfaces even if with generic decals
  13. I can say Its finaly done. After several months of extensive small details, I've haven't done in many years It felt good to go this deep in a build. But I had my times when I regretted starting that process. And my hats are off big time to those that get that detailed. Looking back at it now . I wish I had the eyes to wire the firewall / engine compartment But my magnifier only helps so much In my haste to call it done,,,,,I see I missed the wiper motor install, as well as paint the front bumper brackets black ,,,,, I'll have to correct this asap There is a build thread in the Drag build section if you care to ck it out There is far, far to much stuff to bore you with here I used both a Car Craft April 1967 and SS/Di magazines for research to duplicate the car from early in its life span. No RO style hood scoop and when it still had the trunk lid decal on it, which disappeared sometime shortly after the when the hood scoop was installed . Which is best I can tell happened sometime in late winter - early spring 1967 Enjoy and as always Comments or criticisms are always welcomed. Updated pics
  14. Oh believe me I have plenty to work on even if the Belv 1 body never shows But I would like to build either the Grotheer car in above epic. Or the Jere Stahl sedan SS car
  15. Thanks all Leal did in fact run a 1968 Hemi Dart ( unlikely it was an original LO23 car ) So these decals are for that car As to when , I dont remember I have a Leal Belv, but only the one and would like to build several more. But not at the typical ebay asking prices for the kit Should have bought more when they were avail I guess. Same deal for the Sox and Martin SS 1970 Cuda kit I guess
  16. Is the only difference between these 2 kits the decals and boxart ? I have the Leal version, but not the Belv version to compare the 2 side by side And sellers with the Leal car are asking insane money for them now
  17. Im die hard Mopar Have owned 4 or 5 69-70 Road Runners , Including 1 A12 car and 2 different hemi cars( a 1969 and a 1970 _ , Then 4 total 1969 GTXs , ( 2 hardtops and 2 verts )
  18. If you're wanting to be some what correct for the era Max wedge was long gone by 1965. Hemi actually took over mid year 1964 1964s were steel head , Aluminum cross ram intake with 2 carter AFBs ( most were replaced by Hollys later in the year ) 1965s were Replaced by aluminum head, magnesium cross ram intake with 2 holly's. Now, That said. its not to say some racers were still running the max wedge at that time So,,, then by all means . Its a model car. Build what you want.
  19. I always clear over decals. But do Not clear over BMF
  20. As a general rule. Dodge tends to be a slightly longer wheelbase compared to its Plymouth cousin. This applies all across the Mopar line
  21. gtx6970

    Trailer hitch

I have a couple of these. If the OP wants one, pm me . Its yours
  22. All depends on manufacturer . Put a Monogram 1970 GTX side by side with a Johan version. And the difference is very noticeable
  23. Anyone own one of these care to comment on quality I want one , maybe 2 1/25 3D printed resin 1967 Dodge D500 Car Hauler truck kit | eBay
  24. I was told years ago by someone who used to build AMT boxart kits The 1971 RR tooling was damaged Thus would never see the light of day again As to whether or not thats changed in the past 10-12 years, Ive no idea
