gbdolfans Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Hi all,I saw this on a site,Bold Ride. It is a cool site. What does everyone think of this, besides the nose not being up to safety rules.http://news.boldride.com/2015/10/panoz-deltawing-gt-concept-road-car/91028/
Harry P. Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Doesn't work for me. Don't like the narrow nose.
Joe Handley Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 That is an interesting vehicle, could be interesting seeing them make it road legal though.
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 If that's the future, I'm glad I won't be here to see it.
gbdolfans Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 Thanks Bill for posting the pic.I think there is something to work with. I see that it is not very well liked here.
Shafter44 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 The Deltawing was the only reason I started following sports car racing again. The approach they took reminded me of the days when racers thought outside the box and really did advance automotive design. That said this is probably the ugliest street car I have seen since Pontiac went under, but I do applaud the effort.

Looks like a cheap 3-wheeler kit-kar body from the late '70s.
Chuck Most Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I didn't even know Panoz was still in business...
ChrisBcritter Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 (edited) Rebody it to look like one of the Davis '40s Easter eggs and you've got something. (source: kitfoster.com) Edited October 7, 2015 by ChrisBcritter
Speedfreak Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 (edited) I don't think it's that bad. (The DeltaWing GT). Edited October 7, 2015 by Speedfreak
Crazy Ed Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I really don't care for the Tudor Series Racer and this even less. Anyone else reminded of the Top Gear episode with the Robin Reliant when looking at this ?
Roadrunner Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I have to say that it leaves me cold. Reminds me of a soap box derby car I built as a kid.

ChrisBcritter Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Holy mackerel. Reminds me of a song: "Fly, Robin, Fly"
David G. Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 That Delta Wing kind of looks like a ladies shoe. David G.
ZTony8 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I liked the idea of the race car and it's fresh thinking-even if it's turned out to be less than a winner. But that street version is just bloated and ugly.
Deathgoblin Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Weirdly, I kinda like it. At least it's not a sedan or a crossover of some kind, like every OTHER car manufacturer is making now.
