I would like to know which one of these photo sharing sites is preferred over the other. It's not a poll as much as, which do you think is better if you have experience with both. I want to use one so that I can post and upload photos for builds and stuf. Thanks.

I have had my pictures over on Fotki for over 14 years.

There have been a few hiccups over the years, but for the most part I am happy.

My friend Dave Lindsay was on Fotki also, but now has a picture site on Flickr so that might be another place for you to look at for storing your pictures.

I've always used Photobucket (free). The only problem I've had is when they update from time to time and older browsers won't open it. It has never given me any trouble, I've never had anything lost, and it's always been available when I want to use it. I've used it for years. Since it has met my needs, I've never used any other service.

It's like asking which is better, vanilla or chocolate ice cream.

There is no answer, only personal preferences. Some people will swear by Fotki, some by Photobucket. For example, I have used only Photobucket for many years... never had a problem, and the interface is super easy and user friendly. Other people will tell you the exact same thing about Fotki. So who do you believe?

The answer is... just pick one. They both work just fine (although PB is free).

I've been using PB for years, free, but recently I just started paying, only cause the pop ups where getting terrible. For .99$ you can get rid of the popups. Not sure how much Fotki costs, never used it, but I'm sure you're gonna get answers promoting both.

Just to be clear... you can go ad-free for 99 cents a month, not $99.

I also use the free version of PB, but to tell you the truth the ads don't bother me in the least. I don't even notice them... I just don't pay any attention to them at all. But if those ads are helping to keep PB free for me, I say keep on running them. After all, they can run them, but they can't force me to pay any attention to them.

Fotki and Photobucket are both free with a paid option.....

Yes, but you can't hotlink photos to forums and other places with a free account at Fotki, but it's fine with PB, you have a traffic and storage limit tho', but not if you pay.

I've been using nothing but PB since the early 2000s, and as of today am still only at 23% of allotted free space.

I have both.  I mainly use Fotki to host my model WIP and final pics.  We will also use it for family type pics., vacation, kids, etc.  PB has some nifty features like adding text and adding effects, to name a few.  I use PB to add text to the picture of the winning model in our Model of the Month contest.  I then post that picture at the top of our forum.

Photobucket allows me to enhance a LOT of vintage photos . I'm in the exhibit business and most times , I'm very lucky to find old shots from the early 1920's that show details Building permits do not .

Vanilla.....and .....Fotki

Photo Bucket..... and Chocolate.

Hmm... I wonder if there is a correlation there.  Do all fotki users lack properly functioning tastebuds?

Generally I use either Flickr, Flickr or Flickr. Still have a lot of shots in Photobungle Photobucket but I got tired of the notices a week before the end of the month shutting my images down for bandwidth use.

I use both also.

I use Fotki more for cataloging my stuff & Photobucket more for posting, although either one will work fine.

I find that Photobucket can be very "glitchy" on occasion.

I have problems getting things done on there quite often.
