I should have zoomed in closer. I wasn’t wanting it thought you might have scored a 68...

No. The only original parts to it were the body and front and rear bumpers. The rest must have been altered to make a model.. It was rough when I bough tit years ago. I thought I could restore it but finding original parts is impossible. And I tried everything to get the windshield out but failed. So off it went to a more experienced builder before I wrecked it.

I posted this in another spot today but thought it fit well here. I got this given to me from a guy at work. Looks like all I need is a set of bumpers and a hood and I'll be ready to clean this one up.

Later-

Not a glue bomb as such. I bought an already started from ebay and it was a Subaru Impreza WRX . The original owner had hand painted all of the under chassis parts, without leaving any bare plastic to stick it all together. So most of the drive shafts (4) and wheel backs/mounting pins were broken as was the suspension. So I shaved. scraped, filed the paint off the mounting points, remade the drive shafts and steering and cobbled it together. I'm glad that as it is a rally car and has 'bash plates' attached to the chassis so none of the working parts are damaged whilst driven on rough gravel roads, the plates being supplied in the model help holding everything together.

It sits square on all four wheels which is amazing. I'm just glad that nothing else was touched, so I'm now painting/ decalling  all of the interior as I go along.

I thought that instructions told us not to cover any mounting points ans scrape off 'chrome' where connections are to be made with other parts.

Perhaps the 'new' builders should read these instructions carefully before putting themselves off modelling because nothing sticks together!

I got a big box of them a while ago. The 62 F100 is just getting a good cleaning & put on a shelf, but the 40 Ford I want to rebuild. It just looks cool to me.

Big foot or something. It’s all there. Just every time I move it something else falls off. Lol

That kit was called Destroyer. You're right, it's  basically a renamed Bigfoot 1 kit with different tires.

That thing weighs quite a bit because of the tires. Needs more work than I’m capable of.  Even has the mini bike. Lol! On the storage shelf it goes.

Two summers ago I bought 15 boxes of glue bombs, parts and incomplete kits for $50 from a closeout sale at an antique store. The boxes filled the bed of my Ford Ranger longbed. Tons of junk, but a few gems to easily cover my cost. These pics represent the worst of worst. Anything less than this I write off as parts.

How about this '55 Panel? That's model glue and dirt.

I’m the same as you Mike. I have parts I have no idea what they go to or what they are. Might be something some one is looking for. Pictures always help.

Okay, here's some of the glooiest, bombiest stuff I've ever dragged home.

'68 Plymouth cop car. I have virtually no interest in this, but I know there are people looking for one. All the important stuff seems to be here and savable with a little work. I could prolly strip it and put it on eBay and turn a sweet profit from it.

I think this is a '78 Dodge Force 440? I think it could be finished off with parts from a common Joker Goon Car, except the rear bumper, and the vendor might have that. Might be fun to build into something, but I could be talked out of it if it's somebody's Holy Grail. BTW, I only paid $5 for BOTH the Plymouth and the Dodge.

The sad remains of an original '66 Impala. Vendor gave it to me for being a good customer, and only reason I dragged it home is that I have a nice '65 Impala body with a ruin roof, and there MIGHT be enough of the roof left on this one to graft onto it. Haven't broken it down yet but there might also be some usable original interior parts in there, too, who knows? The price was right.

Years ago a friend gave me the remains of a lacquer-burned '65 T-Bird.  It was such a mess I figured I would never do anything with it, but I kept it in the junk pile.

Then I found this pic of a T-Bird-bodied short tracker...I knew there was a reason I hoarded a few of those MPC Super Stocker kits awhile back.

Nice scores!  I’d be pleased to own any of those, especially the showrods.  I have a conversion kit to make the Li’l Cashbox out of one of the more easy to find Li’l kits...I really need to get that thing built one of these days

Oh, no, they wouldn't have been worth the shipping. Paid $5 for the pair of them at the local toy show last month.
