SfanGoch Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 How about: Diana Rigg made a cameo appearance earlier in this show. She can stop by anytime she feels like. No? She worked as a spy, is handy with a knife and her cooking repels sharks. Julia Child, Epicurean Assassin.
Snake45 Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Jessica Walters. Good pic of her, too. I don't think of her as being that pretty.
SfanGoch Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Someone a little more recent... ;-P bestest, M. That's Christina Hendricks. She was in "Mad Men". I first saw that photo in the N.Y. Daily News about five years ago. She looks like every other Goth chick who hung out at CBGB's, along the Bowery and at Trash & Vaudeville on St.Mark's Place back in the 1980s and 1990s, which isn't a bad thing. I personally like that look.
sjordan2 Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 This Oscar winner appeared in many classic films, but she stole the show in this movie scene where she didn't speak a word.
Dave Van Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 This Oscar winner appeared in many classic films, but she stole the show in this movie scene where she didn't speak a word. Didn't she have a line in that film??? 'feed the birds'.....
sjordan2 Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 (edited) Didn't she have a line in that film??? 'feed the birds'.....No, she was sort of a cameo in a music video, as Julie Andrews sang "Feed the Birds" in "Mary Poppins."It's Jane Darwell, who got the supporting actress Oscar as Ma Joad in "The Grapes of Wrath" and appeared in films like "Gone With the Wind" and many others. Even though she appeared for only a few seconds in Poppins, she was still fondly remembered back then (at age 87; Walt Disney had to convince her to do it.)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHrRxQVUFN4 Edited May 5, 2016 by sjordan2
Dave Van Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Funny how your mind recalls things differently than what really happens........I've seen Poppins 100's of times....my kids wore out a VHS when they were little!!!
unclescott58 Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 (edited) Man, is this a fun thread to go through. Lots of laughs and some confusion. And many great memories.I'm surprised I haven't seen one of my all time favorites come up. To me the most sexy women ever, Ann Margret. There are more beautiful women in the world. But few I find as attractive as her. Also, I have a mystery that you guys might be solved for me here. In the opening titles of the Mannix TV show, for the first few seasons is a beautiful girl in a white dress, dancing/twirling away from Mannix, with her skirt flying up in the air. Does anybody have any idea who this young women might be? Its been bothering me for some time now. Edited May 5, 2016 by unclescott58
sjordan2 Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Jessica Walters. Good pic of her, too. I don't think of her as being that pretty.I once spent a week around her while I was an intern at Warner Bros., in this case on the "Banyon" TV series. Best known to us guys on the forum for her role in "Grand Prix," she is one of the most stunningly beautiful women I have ever met in person -- along with Stefanie Powers ("The Girl From U.N.C.L.E."), who was a guest star on a "Search" episode.

Ann-Margret is pretty unmistakable.
Xingu Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 In Mannix, all I ever see are the cars. He had some cool rides.

But, we're talking about beautiful women, and I would not be surprised if someone on this site knows who she is. Or how to find out who she is. I'm always amazed at what people know on this site. There are some pretty bright people here. And I doubt I was the only Around here who lusted over that Mannix girl.
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 (edited) I always thought this woman was most beautiful at this point in her career. Edited May 5, 2016 by Ace-Garageguy
