Hi,

This is another old build from the depth of my display cabinet.

My old instruction with the AMT/Ertl logo says "Rev.7-91" so I suppose that my model is approximately 25 years old.

I can't say much about the assembly, but this makes me suppose that there were no major issues.

Anyway even by today's standards the finished kit made a rather convincing replica of one of the most attractive Corvettes ever.

reminds me of when I would see a front row of these at dealerships when they first came out.

That is gorgeous!!,is that body color Elkhart green?

Interesting question. Elkhart Green was a '72 color, and in most pics looks lighter and greener than this. The only exterior differences between a '70 and '72 are the alarm system lock on the rear deck (looks like a trunk lock), and the color of the front parking lights (one's white, one's amber, I don't remember which is which). I know all this because when this kit first came out (early '90s), I built it as an Elkhart Green '72.

The '70 Corvette green was called Donnybrook green, and it's darker than Elkhart green.

Whatever color this is, or is supposed to be, it looks great, and so does the rest of the model.

Yow!

Awesome paint color and finish, great detailing, and super clean. What's not to love! I agree that this 'vette was extremely sharp. Makes me want to go and find this kit to build up so I can have one too!
