I'm still looking (hoping) for the Ford tractor that was announced by Heller, was it last year or 2 years ago now? :(

They announced a Ferguson tractor, which should come out later this year (though I have my doubts...)

The only certain predictions are that someone(s) will say, "Why is it so expensive? That kit used to cost 25 cents down at the drug store when I was a kid!" and others will say, "None of these interest me. Why don't they put out  kit of the 1961 Trallfazz Belchfire 500? Bet they'd sell a million of 'em!"

I'd rather see the 2016 Trallfazz Belchfire 500. Bet they would sell a million of 'em!

You don't know what your talking about Jim. The 1961 Trallfazz Belchfire 500 was a much better car than the 2016 model. The '61 has horizontal chrome strips on the tail fins. The 2016's chrome is vertical, allowing rain water to drip across the backup light at a 43% angle, rather than the more true 45% angle on the '61s. Plus I don't like the shade of chartreuse paint used on the 2016 model. I hear they are going to correct this mistake next year. But, not the chrome trim problem. So see you know nothing about the subject at hand. Plus the scale kit of the '61 only costs a $1.59. The 2016 kit sells for $29.99. True the 2016 kit does come with the option blinker fluid beaker. Blinker fluid beaker? On second thought, your right, the 2016 model is more desirable. They'll sell a million of them!

The 2016 has superior cupholders, though...lighted, chilled and heated.

The Heller site shows it is coming as a 4th quarter 2015 release..

Ah but Rob, you forget that the cool cup indentations in the 1961's glove box door. Each one deep enough to hold a Coke bottle upright in a 1G turn. Plus you got the twisty straws with the starlite specks in the plastic. And don't forget the special wind wings, aerodynamicly shape to help you flick the ashes off of your cigarettes. Does the 2016 still have these keen features? I think not!

I would rather see the Roadhog 225 reissued. Seriously , the plastic is the least cost. The packaging , advertizing, distribution costs are the same no matter what you make.

Well, the Roadhog 225 kit would cost less if they did not plate the chrome tree. After all "Real Modelers" TM. have access to Alclad now and can just paint the parts they want chromed, rather than stripping the whole tree. That should knock 15% off the retail price right there.

And Real Modellers have the skills to make their own parts, so instead of wasting money on making expensive moulds, just put a block of styrene in the box along with a photo of the car.  Actually, the internet already has plenty of reference material, like the excellent TB&RC (Tralfazz Belchfire & Roadhog Club) forum,  and www.allbelch.com, so forget the photo. .

I can not afford the amount of Alcad it would take to replace the chrome in the Roadhog 225 kit! I'll pay the 15% extra instead.

Of course you could do at as the late 80s Roadhog GT, which was monochromatic w/ no chrome trim.

Or the 1994 25th Anniversary Roadhog XGTS in the Memorable Magenta / Cerulean "Throwback Colours" from the '69 GTS. The only Chrome on the '94 is the Special Edition Wheels. Remember though, that the 1994 wheels were somehow recreated by the factory with 7 spokes instead of the correct 9 spokes of the original 1969 GTS. The kit gets this wrong, so you will need to find some nine spoke wheels in your stash.

I guess I'll never see a '68 Belchfire Dizzbuster. Except of course for the long OOP Tamiagawa kit which seemed to be made of Unobtanium, even back in the day.

I'd kill for a proper re-release of an AMT mid-70s Camaro. The '74 or '77 especially.

What was the last year for the small(er) backlight? 1974 ? I would love to see a good 1974 Camaro- -- the NicKey Type LT just begs to be replicated !

I think '74 was the last year for the small window.  I'd like to see a '77 Z-28..those looked good in brown.

Wow, talk about reading my mind. A mid 70'S  camaro would be great. I remember in the early 80ies  I had a  ( I think ) basic camaro kit that was not a z28  and it was molded in a tan- beige color. Just cannot remember anything else about it other than that it was your basic berlanneta camaro and I wish we could have it back. Also, I was watching some pro stock racing from 1980 with Reher and Morris with Lee Shepherd and would be great to build one of their camaro's from that period. Thanks.   Jeff

A big bumper '74 Z28 would be very cool. Put me down for one, if it ever happens.

And me, Id love a mid 70s Camaro

Yep. '74 was the last year of the smaller window. This would be a good year to do. Offer it as a '74 Type LT. For in '74 (and '73) the Z28 could be had with the Type LT. That way if someone doesn't like the Z28, they could still build a "plain" Camaro. In the last season of the TV show Mannix ('74-'75), Mannix himself drove a '74 Type LT with Z28 wheels. So you could then replicate one of his cool cars in model form.
