espo Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 That looks about as real as it can be. That reminds me I'd better get the snow blower serviced and running for the one or two snows we get every winter.
Cardz Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Awesome work on the plow...weathering is spot on!!
Casey Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Love it, and agreed on just the right amount of weathering. What did you use (looks like green wrapped wire?) to simulate the weld beads at the various joints?
JTRACING Posted November 27, 2016 Author Posted November 27, 2016 Love it, and agreed on just the right amount of weathering. What did you use (looks like green wrapped wire?) to simulate the weld beads at the various joints?thanks guys! For welds I used stretched sprue, I Iike to use a different color so I can see what I'm doing lol. Just soften it with glue and poke with a knife to make the weld patterns.
JerseyRed Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 (edited) Excellent detail, I like it a lot. I like your avi too. Bob's Burgers rules! Edited November 27, 2016 by JerseyRed

Been sitting on this kit wanting to build it now I have some new inspiration to do so. thank you for sharing.....thanks! Yeah but I'm undecided on using this GMC truck or putting it on the new Bronco kit lol maybe I'll have to make an older looking plow for the bronco with round lights etc
mikemodeler Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 thanks! Yeah but I'm undecided on using this GMC truck or putting it on the new Bronco kit lol maybe I'll have to make an older looking plow for the bronco with round lights etc That is a very realistic weathered old plow there, great job! If you are looking some round lights that come close to what was used in the 70's/80's, check out one of the Revell 32 Fords. They have two sets of headlights and the smaller ones are pretty close to the right size.
