bbowser Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Very neat and clean build. I like that you took the time to make the hood sit correctly.
bogger44 Posted March 1, 2017 Author Posted March 1, 2017 Thanks again for your comments guys, I'm truly humbled by them. The early 2nd gen Firebirds/TA's are easily some of my favorite GM's of all time, even though I'm more of a Ford and Mopar guy.
shoopdog Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 IMO it doesn't get any better than that. Great looking model.
Rick Wolfe Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Super job there Tony, What did you use to paint the rims, they look spot on. I too have this on my to do pile and after seeing yours it will get moved closer to the top now. Good luck on your next project. Rick
redneckrigger Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 That is a very nicely done TA! I have a friend that just finished a complete resto of his 1:1 70 last year. It looks virtually identical to yours, right down to the stance it has. Very cool!
AthOz Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Beautiful model. Love the colour and how the bullet mirrors are both the correct shape and perfectly fitted
Dave42 Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Awesome build. Panels lines show particularly well on that White. Love it.
crazyjim Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Fantastic build. It's SHINY , clean and well detailed.

mustang1989 Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Man that's a good lookin' build Tony. I'm still trying to wrap my head around those wheels on the box top. You sure turned her into a winner bud.
Dann Tier Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Fantastic job!!!!! my favorite Transam of all!, this is how I would have ordered one. I really like the fact that you added the proper gray/steel color in the grilles!! too many times this gets forgotten about I think.
bogger44 Posted March 3, 2017 Author Posted March 3, 2017 Thanks for all the comments guys! Super job there Tony, What did you use to paint the rims, they look spot on. I too have this on my to do pile and after seeing yours it will get moved closer to the top now. Good luck on your next project. Rick They were brush painted with Model Master Steel acrylic. After stripping the chrome and a coat of primer, of course. It's a pretty good kit and I think you'll like it. Good luck! Man that's a good lookin' build Tony. I'm still trying to wrap my head around those wheels on the box top. You sure turned her into a winner bud. I hear ya Lol. I think they may look ok on a newer car though. Fantastic job!!!!! my favorite Transam of all!, this is how I would have ordered one. I really like the fact that you added the proper gray/steel color in the grilles!! too many times this gets forgotten about I think. Mine too. It's kinda funny, my three favorite GM's all come from 1970....the Buick GSX, Olds 442, and the Trans Am. For the grille surrounds I used the same paint that I used on the wheels. I agree with you and think it is a small detail that could get overlooked pretty easily.
mrmike Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 That looks fantastic, Tony! Really clean! Good job, my friend!
tbill Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 this turned out fantastic, what a beautiful job on this kit. well done
1959scudetto Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Very nice Trans Am, Tony - looks much better than the model pictured on the box - if 'Revell would take yours, they surely could sell a lot more of them - it is a real eye-catcher.
