Rocking Rodney Rat Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Not specifically 'drag' but straightline racing...powered by a flathead with a Potvin style front mounted blower....tons of pis here: http://public.fotki.com/jferren/lakes-turtledeck/ -RRR 2
bytownshaker Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Very well done, love all the removable panels showing a very well detailed model.Edgar
Bernard Kron Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 In addition to looking like a truly fine lakes machine, the technical challenges embodied in this model are epic. This is not trivial stuff to pull off properly (bellypan, louvers, etc.) I especially dig the tonneau cover.
gasser59 Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Nicely done. Good to see a salt flats runner for a change. The removable panels are impressive.
jaftygas Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 I just love the stance these car take. They look wicked.
Andrew McD Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Very cool and very nicely built. The salt flats are where true hot rodding still exists!
Straightliner59 Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Love it! Great work! I've often wondered why dry lakes and salt racers aren't in this forum. It makes sense, to me--they're all straightline racers. 1
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted June 24, 2023 Author Posted June 24, 2023 Thanks for all of the positive responses, interesting how an older build gets resurrected... -RRR
Calb56 Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 That definitely deserved being resurrected. Nice build.
