I have a Hobby Lobby only 1/2 mile away from home, and yet I drive 10 miles to support my local "hobby shop." I'm old school as I've been patronizing hobby shops since the 50's.

I asked the dept. manager and he said there is no listing for the 70' this round of kits. He said they don't know what will be stocked by HL next restock, until they have their next culling of kits. I believe him.

No 70' will be at Hobby Lobby this first time around. They bought the new (old) 69' Charger Country R/T instead...sad.

I could have sworn I saw one Saturday, but I guess maybe that was a Fast N Furious version.

One of the stores here had them on the shelf.  I don't recall seeing it on the last "reset list", maybe it replaced something else at the last moment.

I know different regions have different kit selections. I'm in the Chicago area so that's all I can speak for. I wish they had it here, I'd have more than the 3 I have already...

If you find one and if it's missing parts, betta make sure you have a spare kit or a 68/69 (even though its a different, older tool) because if you're gonna use Revell's parts replacement, its gonna be a long wait and they'll say lies that it was delivered but then say its not shipped and in process.

And your point is?,  can you answer the question ?,  is the 70 Charger at Hobby Lobby?, as that is the topic, not whether or not you support you LHS;):D

Yeah, it becomes tricky when the LHS' I will support are a good bit further away that the HL or Michael's are.  I no longer support the one I used to work for, which is closer than the craft stores are, soooooo....................

Since it's s close, could you run in and see if they have '70 Chargers in that HL? Don't buy anything, since you support LHS. Just post up, you've got a bunch of posts here anyway. Thx;)

Didn't see any at the Naperville HL last night, and who knows, by the time O can check out the Batavia and Bloomingdale ones, they might actually have them on the planogram!

That must have been it. Checked again yesterday and they had F&Fs and the "new" MPC kit, but no stock Revell '70s.

They do have the stock '70, I saw a couple of them locally a week or so ago and mentioned that to someone who was looking for one.  With Christmas coming, HL will probably start discounting kits by 20% or 30% in a given week, which may prevent the use of the 40% off coupon.  Sometimes they still let you take the 40% off of the regular price (not the discounted price), sometimes they don't.  Not everyone is on the same page when it comes to that.  Might be easier to just wait a month or so...

There's one on my bench for an IPMS review. Haven't gotten into much yet but it seems to be a very nice kit.  Going to go with metallic grey with a black & grey interior.  There's no extra parts in the box that I see so it'll be a pretty much out of the box build except for flocking, BMF, and some engine detail.  I guess that would make it factor stock.

Jeff, is this speculation, or do you have inside knowledge?

Hobby Lobby, as with most all "mass retailers", generally doesn't take on new products immediately upon their release,  but rather uses a "Store Re-Set" pattern--I believe in HL's case, 4 times per year.  In short, their plastic model kit assortment was "set" for this quarter of the year, way last summer.  They'll sell through the majority (or they sure hope so) by Christmas, and then very soon afterward, will do a new "reset" and stock up with newly available product at that time.  This is all due to HL's being very highly seasonal in their main business, which is crafts and home decor--their plastic model department being a very small part of their very large stores.
