mangodart
Hi guys, Back with a new built : a 1958 Imperial from AMT, it starts life as a built and painted convertible I stripped and restored using an AMT chassis and engine to bring life to the underside. I used a roof from a 59 Imperial kit reissue, modifeid the engine intake and air filter box, open the hood, painted it with a real Chrysler red color. Hope you'll like it !! Erik Smith
Oh man, great looking model. Excellent work. Does anybody else cringe seeing the model laying on its side on that cement looking surface?
Sixties Sam
That's a beauty! Brings back memories for me. My first AMT kit was a 58 Imperial convertible back in 1958, when I was 9 years old! I still have the grille and bumpers from it somewhere! Sam

misterNNL
Thanks for saving this classic kit. You did a great job kitbashing in current parts to bring it back. I love those giant old cruisers that could probably hold 2-1/2 smart cars in the trunk. It looks huge as is but imagine all that Detroit iron wearing a continental kit on a three foot long rear bumper extension. I have seen that done. No fun to parallel park ! geetee66
If I had three wishes, one would be for all these old kits to be re-issued. You really did this old kit justice. A gorgeous looking build ?

MrObsessive
Emmanuel........she's a real beauty! Great adaptation of the 300's chassis and engine! I have the '59, and I'd like to attempt something like you did someday but make mine a '57. I missed out on the one that The Modelhaus offered. StevenGuthmiller
Nice job Emmanuel! You surely don't see a lot of these '58s around anymore. A nice addition to your collection. Steve
