To be honest, my state is supposedly most famous for being the land of 10,000 lakes, & yes, my guess would be that there are that many.

More realistically, if you live here, it's probably more well known for it's horrendously cold winters, oppressively hot, humid summers, & kajillions of blood thirsty mosquitoes!

And yes, there are plenty of turkeys here as well.

How else could we have elected people like Jesse Ventura & Al Franken!

Jees! Come to think of it, I'm not exactly sure why I still live here!! ;)

Snake bites? Sounds about right!

The Rattle Snakes do get pretty large here............. Actually NC is famous for being the first state to cede from the Union, and the last to rejoin after the Civil War, if I'm remembering correctly

(I hope that's read as just History................) :)

I really don't think California has any kind of monopoly on social media twits.

We have the "most" in several categories of tree, the biggest (Giant Sequoia), the tallest (Coastal Redwood) and the oldest (Bristlecone pines).

The north state is well known for beer, wine and marijuana, the south for surfers and Hollywood.

I don't think that is a very good map, everybody knows Ohio is the state most famous for turkeys.

Great Smokey Mountains, Jack Daniels, and Walking Tall. Filmed the movie in Henderson, TN where I use to live. Really hot humid summers the only thing I really don't like. Yes, there is lots  of Churches but that's not a bad thing.

Dude, really?  Cali is famous for so much stuff, but that is probably because it is so darned big.  Where to start with obscura. Home of the SR-71/ U-2(Beale AFB).  More fresh produce grown here than any other state.  California produces more rice than any other state except Arkansas, which is really great for duck hunting.  Another little known fact.  California is the #3 oil producing state.  Yup, the LA basin is full of the stuff. There are more active duty and reserve personnel from California in the military than any from any other state(as of 2017).  Just a couple of little know bits and pieces.

I just can't stop laughing. This used to be one of my favorite TV shows. Pronography  viewing, I know it's a little slow living in a fly over state I just didn't realize how slow I guess. I'll have to check this out.

Not enough, I say "hang 'em high."

When it comes to George Ryan, I'll give you that!  Considering his corruption gave commercial licenses to people that had no right getting them, he and the people who took the bribes for him should have been charged with manslaughter for every death one of those drivers caused.

Ohio: famous as birthplace of many Presidents, aviation history, birthplace of several astronauts, having lots of colleges and universities, Ohio State football, Pro Football Hall of Fame, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame...

I love the Lake Erie coastline and having a National Park a few miles from my house.  (Cuyahoga Valley National Park).

Also applies to NM, my home state. You can tell who's a visiting desert rat back east, they'll be the people gawking at all the arroyos and ravines in South Carolina and Pennsylvania, going "wow, there's water in that one, too!"
