James2 Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 Still a few small things I'd like to do, but it is finished. Mostly! Tamiya Gloss Black, Matt Black, Hand painted wood access interior, Scratch made Cherry Bombs. Parts Box extra's and BMF...
NYLIBUD Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 Great looking old school ride. And the Cherry bombs are perfect for this car.I remember way back, when IÂ had a set of Cherry bombs on an old Vega.
bbowser Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 All of the above, great model! This is a fine example of what was seen in my high school parking lot back in the day, c. 1971.
Straightliner59 Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 I like it! Woodgrain is especially nice. Excellent work!
Jantrix Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 Outstanding work. It has the look of lots of cars from my my younger days.
Hmann68 Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 Cool! The weathering and detail under the hood looks great!
Dragonhawk1066 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Nicely done all around. Cherry bombs look great too.
James2 Posted May 25, 2018 Author Posted May 25, 2018 Thank you for all the kind comments, this was a great model to build and I enjoyed the time spent on it.
OldTrucker Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Oh yeah! I remember being pulled over just in front of the speed shop down town by the tricycle cop. I argued with him that I did not have an illegal exhaust system while he dug out the ole code book to show me. Then he asked why I thought mt system wasn't illegal and I pointed out that I could not have an illegal system because I didn't HAVE an exhaust system! He got mad and left without even the customary warning/fix-it ticket! Went inside and bought two Thrush header mufflers and put them on at the curb!
