Lovefordgalaxie Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Going to a car dealer today just gets me bored, but, it was way different in 1953. Ford and Chevrolet were doing battle, with ads bashing each other. Me? I got both!! The Bel Air looks bigger, and taller, but that is because the Revell kit is 1:24 scale, and the Crestline by Lindberg is 1:25 scale. 1953 Ford and 1953 Chevrolet by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford and 1953 Chevrolet by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford and 1953 Chevrolet by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford and 1953 Chevrolet by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford and 1953 Chevrolet by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford and 1953 Chevrolet by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford and 1953 Chevrolet by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford and 1953 Chevrolet by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford and 1953 Chevrolet by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford and 1953 Chevrolet by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford and 1953 Chevrolet by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr
Classicgas Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Beautiful! And a source of inspiration for mine, I have both kits as well.
Geno Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Tulio, those are gorgeous builds. Job well done.
TooOld Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Even with the scale difference it's still a great looking showroom ! Beautiful builds !
Hi-Po Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Simply beautiful! Nice job on both of them.
bbowser Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Your black paint work is stunning. Really cool to see the differences and similarities between the two makes.
BeakDoc Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 They are very easy on the eyes and your builds certainly captured the graceful styling of each.

Both were designed to appeal to the very same buyer. 36 minutes ago, BeakDoc said: They are very easy on the eyes and your builds certainly captured the graceful styling of each. Thank you!!

Oldcarfan27 Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Great idea showing 2 brands from the same year. Gives a good visual of what buyers had to choose from back in 53. I kinda like the Ford design better, it looks a little sleeker than the Chevy. And I like Chevy's!
T.Henry Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 I really love them both. The Chevy looks kind of square, but that is the kit's fault. They molded the body in a way the car looks like a brick. Giving serious thought about painting my Sunliner black. Would you consider casting some hubcaps for me?? Like the ones on your Sunliner??
Janne Herajärvi Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Both look great! That Chevy is maybe best one i have seen built from that kit, atleast one of best ones!

Drop me a line on Telegram with your address, and I'll send them to you. I did cast some spare hubcaps. 1 hour ago, Janne Herajärvi said: Both look great! geewhiz Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Two gorgeous models, Tulio!!! Displayed together is just cool!!!?????????
mrmike Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Both look great! Back in the day, my father had a '53 Ford convertible and my uncle had a '53 Chevy convertible and both were the same color combo. Red body with a red interior and a black top.
