64SS350
Working on a couple of things at once, but more progress on the Stude. Working on original cut out firewall, four seats, and opened the grill.
64SS350
Filled in more of original fire/fender wall area. Made roll bars and after using an old can of Metalizer, it litteraly broke one in half after sitting for only a minute.
64SS350
Ok, well it's been a busy month, but I have tackled some detail issues. Interior essentially done, some pieces I have to mount after front of firewall is painted orange. Also altered license plate indent, which actually is where the parachute goes. Had to recreate the trunk chrome, it was not filled out when it was cast.

64SS350
Decided to remake headers, almost done, added support plate for bolt up and shortened the height a bit. 64SS350
Got some engine assembly started so I could make the motor and trani mounts. Had to enlarge the trani hump and fill in the front frame rails to make them straighter and functional.I have been tweaking the body work and trying to figure out the grill. The kit 'grill' was an insert, and is incorrect. I will have to set it and blend it, then make actual grill insert. Have had trouble loading this update for a week or so. I found some mesh at show yesterday that will work for the grills. Also got driveshaft and traction bars made.

Body completely in primer ready for wet sand, chassis ready for paint, some motor preassembly and plumbing, remade magneto, detail one was junk, also made shocks and mounts. 64SS350
Well, had a set back...I had to rebuild the motor mount and refinish the stacks. Mount broke and stacks were being annoying, plus wasn't completely happy with the finish. Got some plumbing and wiring done, also testing body color. 64SS350
Working on details, trying to get ready for our club show next weekend. I had to shorten the velocity stacks, make the catch cans, started making headlight bezels, and got it painted. Didn't come out as I wanted, had to wet sand everything. First pic is base coat, second is after clear

64SS350
Well after lots of mishaps/learning opportunities, I'm calling this done! Made it for our show today, not expecting a win, but showing for the owner and club build. Realized wherever these decals came from, they are not great, incorrect in several ways, and incomplete by far. Checking with new MCW owner here in town, he stated the decals may have been made for it. I will add pics to Under Glass section later. Thanks for all the comments!
