Deathgoblin Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything. Just finished this one today. It's painted in a Chrysler metallic black from Duplicolor, and I reworked the dash including making the knobs. It ain't perfect, but I'm pretty happy with it. I'll get some better photos of it soon.
Anglia105E Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Very nicely done Brian, and I like the black paint work with pale blue interior. The design of this Cadillac is quite similar to the 1929 Rolls-Royce Phantom I David
Richard Bartrop Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Nice job on the wood trim. I have the convertible sedan version, and there's a number of things Italeri could have done better. but you have to love the Art Deco styling.
jaxenro Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Nice job interesting color choice for the interior is the rear compartment the same?
Dave Van Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Great to see others build these era cars. NICE work super clean and neat. I built that kit as a replica of a movie starlet's car.....but now I forget who!!! Hope you don't mind me posting....
Deathgoblin Posted October 29, 2018 Author Posted October 29, 2018 Yes, the rear cabin is the same colors. It's actually more of a medium grey, but the camera on my phone made it look blue for some reason. I need to get my camera out and take some decent pictures.
misterNNL Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 What an unexpected result of having some families who had sufficient funds to afford these vehicles in a time when the USA was in the depths of a great depression. Without them there would not been a market for these magnificent creations.
bbowser Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Great model! Always glad to see a classic on here.
Eric Macleod Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 Now this is my kind of car. You have captured the spirit of the era. Very nice.
