cobraman
Trouble after trouble . Tried to so something different with paint and it was a fail . Could not strip due to putty . Truthfully I just wanted it done . Not the outcome I was wanting and was not going to bother to post but what the heck . Good for a laugh if nothing else . You have my permission to laugh . Not that you need it .
THORDOOR220
I don't think it's bad. Maybe sits a little high, but really? It's pretty cool. And that's coming from someone that isn't a batman fan
THarrison351
Not knowing the pains you suffered, it still looks good to me. I had troubles in the past with black paint as well. Gloss black Tamiya, decanted and airbrushed, or sprayed out of a warmed can has not disappointing yet. I've given up on all other gloss black paints for consistency. I've only used Plasti-cote as a primer so far, grey and white both worked.
tmb727
You got it done. Another cool build on the shelf. What's not to like? As Snake would say: "Well done and model on!"

disconovaman
It's got my seal of approval too, and the Batmobile should match the Bat suit with a nice satin finish... It's given me insipiration to do more "what if" types of builds.
vamach1
Given the campiness of the tv show it's no worse than the Mstery Machine or Flintsones car. I'll give it a POW, BAM and a THUD.
Pat Minarick
It's not that bad, really kind of like how you did the body. If you really don't like the paint you could cover the whole thing with black flock, it would look like the real car that they covered in black fur to hide the cracked body work. cobraman
Thanks guys. Now to plan my next stupid Cobra project.
donb
I think its pretty cool too. Outside the box for sure. But I do like it

1930fordpickup
Ray other than the stance it is fine. I had trouble with the last 289 kit I built about 30 years ago also. Never did get a good paint job and after I said close enough the body did not sit on the chassis good.
jaxenro
Agreed looks pretty good. Once you added all the batcessories it kind of jazzed it up a little still not thrilled with the front fins but I can't think of anything better you could have done
cobraman
Thanks guys. As far as the fender fins go they hold the car stable at high speeds !
Hmann68
Cool man cool! You’ve got the guts to do black, ive never tried
David G.
Don't be so hard on yourself Ray. It came out pretty good. It's like I say in my signature, "Each kit I build is really only practice for the next one!" David G.
spencer1984
I dig it, too. Certainly not the strangest car in Batman's garage, and with that engine it should perform admirably!
skymnky721
Looks cool to me,,models dont always have to be perfect,,its the fun of building that matters most.

Dann Tier
Seriously, Ray, its not that bad at all...great concept....great execution, you tried a paint technique that let YOU down, and I still like it!, the only thing I woulda done was to put bigger tyres in the rear to fill-in the wheel wells, and make it look meaner. cobraman
Thanks guys. I agree with the tires being too small. I got that set of Pegasus tires and wheels for this project and stuck them on the chassis and did not realize how small they really were until I dropped the body on. Ray, i had also Trouble with the paint and was afraid to Strip it becaus the putty. but, i used brakefluid and all putty, styrene stayed there were it was. perhaps as reminder for the next "mistake". your BadCobra is not a mistake. there are a lot of crappy builts in the world of plastic - yours is it defently not!
