dragstueck Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Hello, i am Juergen from germany. Got finished my latest projekt. A Volvo F7 Toter Truck. I see this Truck in the Movie "Starman" wit a Mobile Home Trailer. Based on an Italeri Magirus Firelader , i build this Volvo. Chasis must be shorted, Cab was streched, Front must be made scratch,... many parts must be built scratch,.. But now it is finished
CRUSADER2 Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 WOW !!!! Juergen, I nearly missed this one, that is just superb, everything about it is just perfect, the detail and weathering is inspirational, its another model to look to while I am having a go at my next effort. You have done an absolutely fantastic job to turn that kit into that F7 ( how many hours I wonder?) its been worth every minute that's for sure. As you have probably guessed I like it quite a lot, I suppose I have a bit of a soft spot for these old Volvo's as it was one of the first trucks I drove after passing my HGV class 1, they were a great little workhorse and had a spacious and comfortable cab, and you have captured the feel of this truck perfectly, ( it could be real ) fantastic work, looking forward to your next project.
TarheelRick Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Very impressive scratchbuilding and excellent weathering effects. One beautiful build.

iamsuperdan Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Whoa! Your detailing and weathering is truly next level. Amazing!
jeffdeoranut Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 those are nice pics of real trucks...now show us the model...great build
Oldmopars Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Great job, that thing is perfect. My favorite line from that move: "green means go, red means stop, and yellow means go very, very fast" Great job on that truck.
asfastasu Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Beautiful build. The weathering is spot on, and I love the name on the door! Very clever.
Rusty92 Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 Outstanding work and detail, as others have said, the weathering is spot on.

I will sign under every word! Beautifull!!! I should learn to wether my models like that! The only minor thing I would weather a little more are the chaines.
chuckyr Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 (edited) The Volvo F7 was first used in the USA in 1982. It actually was the first Volvo truck model to be manufactured in the USA. Wilson Trucking of Virginia was a major user of the Volvo f7. Edited August 21, 2023 by chuckyr
