Thanks Carl.  I am a bit disappointed with this kit. The paint finish was so good on the Pro Street version I built I was hoping this one would also have the same quality paint. It does not. It isn't bad just short of the other version.

That happens buddy, I got rid of one for similar reasons...

Man, i'd love that in 1/24. I'm droolin' lol.

You could put me down for one, too.

Stay tuned. I recently finished the Snake-Fu on a New Ray '70 Cuda. It doesn't look bad but really needs a repaint to reach its full potential. (It's actually a Hemicuda but is painted like an AAR, and that's the only way it comes.)

Wouldn't it be nice if M2 would do a '70 instead of yet another variation of their '71?

It sure would. I actually emailed them about the very same thing but got no response. It would be a great companion car for the T/A Challenger they make.

This arrived today. I won it quite unexpectedly. I've been trying to cut out all eBay purchases, but I still like to bid. I've noticed some nice cars come up and no one ever bids and they fall off never sold. So I started putting minimum bids in, no one else bid, and that's how this one was won. It's really funny because I had been bidding on one just like this a couple of month's ago, but the bidder had a ridiculous reserve. I don't know what happened to it but it eventually stopped being available. These never really sell for much. I think it's because of two things, A] the colors pink and brown and B] they made way too many of them. It's in relatively good shape. A bit dirty and it looks like the RH side was exposed to the sun. The headlight eyebrows and RH hubcaps are a bit faded, the RH whitewalls are also slightly yellowed, and there is something staining the boot cover. Hopefully this will all clean up and polish out.

The mailman dropped off a box yesterday from a long time friend.  He is helping a widow liquidate her late husband's Corvette model collection and he sent me these.  Two Franklin Mints, C3 and C4, a unique 1957 BBurago, and a 1964 AMT and 1975 MPC nicely built up plastic kits. More details to follow.

I like the pink exterior.  Almost bought one, but noticed, like you, that there were a LOT of them.  And at the same time I found a turquoise version that I bundled with a pink/white 56 Ford.  But the pink one still catches my eye.  Nice score

IS it the photo or does the 57 look larger than the others?   Nice cars though.   I have a special place for 74 or 75 Corvettes. I do like that one especially.  First plastic model I ever built was the MPC annual version.   I think I used a whole tube of glue.   It's probably in a landfill, still soft from all the glue.

Very cool! The headlights on that Burago '57 look suspiciously like the oddball headlights on my Welly.

I do believe the Welly and the BBurago are the same.

Randy,  the photo does make it look a lot bigger but here is a comparison with the Franklin Mint.

And those funky Continental tires and oversized wheels compared to a set of Monogram 1/24 set up in front of them.  I think I will swapped them out for the Monogram ones.

Overall the BBurago is a very nice model, it is older, made in Italy,  instead of China. And I have only ever seen a picture of one other with the top and that was not white.

Hmm, does compare favorably with the Mint car.   And yes, the Monogram wheels look MUCH better.  Nice score.

Can't say I got all these, today, but I got them all within about a week of each other.... All from Walmart...$10 a piece.... No crazy ebay prices, here... I'm often shocked at what Walmart carries....90% of my Motormax fleet came from Walmart...

I have to find some more Dodges and hopefully they'll start carrying the Chevy's.... I, generally, HATE 1/27 scale, but I can't get these in 1/24 scale, so.... And they're really great replicas....

Finally!  I got my hands on a Danbury Mint 1963 Corvette Coupe today.  The reviewer on Diecast.org says it is the best of all the rest 1/24 diecast split window coupes and I have to agree with him.  The engine is amazing.  The only thing I have found strange so far is the exhaust painted black.  It came nice and clean and shiny and I am very pleased.

I think, all in all, the Danbury Corvettes are way above the Franklins.  Are you brave enough to paint the exhaust?   Value, value, value...  Do you ever remove the China stickers?  That Vette is a beauty for sure.
