PappyD340 Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Hello everyone, I apologize for my 4 1/2 yr absence but there has been an awful lot that has transpired in my life in this period of time. I have lost both my parents within 18 months of each other spent the last year getting their estate in order and settled, been through another buyout of the health system I work for with the last 6 months having my brain reconditioned for the new position I now have, have had another grandson who is now 18 months and several home projects that my wife of 44 yrs cracked the whip to get done ( happy wife, happy life ) LOL. I did manage to squeeze a few builds in here and there which I will share in the coming weeks, so I will start with the Revell 1955 Belair convertible, painted with testors emerald green metallic and phonetician yellow w/ wet look clear and rustoleum bright white for the top w/flat clear. Interior was done in craft paints ivory and green, built box stock with BMF. Thank you all for taking time to look!
StevenGuthmiller Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 I just love the color combo! You definitely don't see that one every day. Steve
spike morelli Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Superb. A job worth looking at twice. Those tri-five Chevys are ageless aren't they?

Classicgas Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Just beautiful. I need to finish mine. Started it in 1995. But I love your colors, just may have to strip mine and repainted.
Belugawrx Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Great to see you back Larry ! Your skills have not suffered in your absence, that is a Beaut ! Cheers

Tom Geiger Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Very nice work on the Chevy! Larry, I have found that no matter what life dishes out, an hour of bench time really takes the edge off of it!
TarheelRick Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 One mighty fine looking Chevy convertible. Beautiful detail work in the interior and an excellent choice of colors.
mod3l Lover Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Yes, those colors are amazing on this build!! The green color really pops for sure, I just love it! The car looks great from every angle sir. David S.

espo Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Great looking color combination and it's not often you get to see a "full dressed" '50's convertible. Glad to hear you life is getting back on track. Look forward to your other builds soon.
