Gerald Haney Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Finished. This is the MPC snap kit. This one was inspired from growing up in Eastern Kentucky in the 80’s. Dipping Skoal, listening to hank, eating at Druthers and getting muddy in your 4x4. Hope you enjoy all the details. 1
mustang1989 Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Good lookin' build. I like the rag stuck in the fuel filler hole. Seen that a million times back home. lololol
espo Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Beautiful in a special ugly way. Shows all the hard use as described. You covered all of the little details with this build. What we used to call "ridden hard and put away whet".
Deathgoblin Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 I think I went to high school with that guy!! Great job!
Spex84 Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Very evocative build Love all the little touches. There's a Blazer for sale a few hours away from me that looks much like this one, even similar color. I want it...but there's sadly no place in my life for it
Goose1957 Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Wow that looks good. Nice little details. I love the "wash me" on the back window, you can almost see the fingerprints in the letters. Nice job bringing to life a simple snap kit . I know, I just built one myself and didn't turn out anywhere as nice as yours. Jeff
KWT Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Nicely done.. dig it all. And the Druthers wrappers are a nice touch. We had one here in my neck of the woods. I kinda miss it lol
vincen47 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Excellent. Weathering and details so good you can almost smell it.
TarheelRick Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Beautiful job, the pack of Red Man is priceless, but I didn't see a spit cup.
Flat32 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Passion driven talent always a pleasure to observe and admire.
BeakDoc Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 The pouch of Red Man and the rag in the filler sealed the deal for me. Awesome build!
Gerald Haney Posted March 29, 2019 Author Posted March 29, 2019 Thank you all for all the super nice and encouraging comments. I’m glad so many of you all can relate to this build. I kinda miss it lol Druthers was one of only two fast foods we had here back in the day. I kinda miss it too. 8 hours ago, TarheelRick said: Beautiful job, the pack of Red Man is priceless, but I didn't see a spit cup. The Spit cut is drivers side cup..the one with no lid or straw...there’s a small dip and some spit in the cup. 1 hour ago, BeakDoc said: The pouch of Red Man and the rag in the filler sealed the deal for me. Awesome build! Levi Garrett was equally popular around here but the Redman logo is so much more recognizable I had to use it..the gas cap rag was pretty much as common as was the “wash me”

Classicgas Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Very well done. Didn't know there's was a snap Blazer kit.
LouO Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Years back I had a 1:1 (1974) same interior/exterior colors, rims/tires etc...tinted windows and all. It was like you worked off a picture of her. Amazing coincidence. Love your build!
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 I think that you really captured the look! The only thing missing is the kink in the hood. Excellent work! Best looking snap Blazer that I've seen!
RAMBENNA Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 awesome, very nice build , weathering is great. super job
