Chuckyg1 Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Hey all. First time posting a build. Revell 48 ford convertible. Fade always, grill/surround & bumpers from the custom coupe. Wheels/tires are modelhaus units. Exhaust tips are flared aluminum tubing, and the windshield was cut to fit from a bulk package of razor blades. Followed Tim Boyd's Recent SA article for better finishes. Best black paint job I've ever accomplished. Not perfect, but it came out pretty good I thought.
1930fordpickup Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Nice work. I like the use of the fender pontoons on this.
Modlbldr Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Beautiful model! One to be very proud of. The paint and interior look great and I love the MH tires and wheels. Good job! Later-
'70 Grande Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Excellent build! Your paintwork is outstanding! Many times, a minor addition on a build can add alot to the overall look; I think this is the case with the nice little cowl pinstriping you added to this build; it's like icing-on-the-cake! Great job!
Chuckyg1 Posted August 3, 2019 Author Posted August 3, 2019 Thank you all for having a peek, and the kind comments.
carrucha Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Nice clean custom convertible. The interior looks sharp.
Dennis Lacy Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Excellent take on a custom '48 Convertible! The optional chopped top and the coupes custom parts look right-on.
David G. Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Nicely done! The interior's color combination really makes it pop. David G.
